Yeah… the trick work you guys do on these boards is beyond a Master’s class! I absolutely love that your group is putting the Adv through its paces. I am one of the very early adopters of the Floatwheel Adv and it’s great to put the nay-sayers to rest about what these FW boards are capable of. 🔥👏👏

Holly cow. I rewatched the part where Jesse talks about bonking over sand bags. What street greatness from Jesse. There are sand bags holding down a sign at the end of my driveway. Just got back and checked them out. Yeah, at least one of them is staying at its current address.

While my Floatwheel is being worked on, I nose dived on my GT 2 twice at low speed while just cruising around. It's super embarrassing too when it happens in public. I really miss activation that just works.

Glad you enjoy it, however, something I don't understand from Jesse's conclusion: the Floatwheel uses the exact same app and software parameters than any vesc. So if you like how this board was reacting, you could use the same profile with another vesc board. However the motor, rails etc won't be the same of course.

Idk if this is just me, but the motor sound at 7:03 sounds a bit like supercharger whine and i think thats freakin sick! When the time comes to get a new board, i might have to look into these floatwheels, especially if they all sound like this

Great review. The lighter boards are delightful, heavier ones have the torque, always a trade-off I guess. As time goes on I continue to love the pint W setup for screwing around, low range stuff. Can't wait to see how the new hubs influence trick & trail setups out there.

Yet another great video. My ADV should be shipping this week! Would thereny way someone could do a Vesc tuning tutorial? I've watched Tony's video on the setup numerous times. That's great for the initial setup but I have yet to find a helpful video for how the tuning part works. How does one add, for instance, Jeff's tail tune vs his butter street tune? What do the settings do? I would love y'all to the moon and back if something like this could be created. ✌️

Can't we all just add a V to whatever board we have put a Vesc into. I've put a Lil FOCer into a GT so i've been calling it a GTV, we already have ADV, so XRV, Pint XV etc. Anyways, awesome video as always, Jesse is killing it, and Bodhi with the Shove Drop was sick. Vesc is for sure the future of this sport.

I just call mine a VESC. There are no Future Motion parts in mine so calling it an XRV is a bit disingenuous. @mariocontino calls his boards DIYs.

@@thechickentendy3982 Yeah this is true, I do plan on taking everything FM out of my boards eventually, so one day I will be in the same boat. I'm still calling mine a GTV it was a GT, still has a Hypercore, Control & Battery Boxes. Until I remove those Parts, it's still a Vesc in a GT Platform, so for me it works, for now..... DIY makes sense, but it is also too broad of a statement same as Vesc, you have to follow up with one wheeled balance skateboard, and that doesn't roll of the tongue either. Damn this naming thing is Hard, Onewheel is too good of a name.

Try tuning your amp limit down. Maybe like 80A or 90A. It’ll feel much more familiar to trick on

Hey, questions, please 🙏🏼… I’m trying to decide between ADV(molicell battery) and ADVpro~ besides appearance and height adjustment design, is there any real difference between them and the ride feel of the boards? (..Also, if someone could kindly explain why/ under what circumstances someone might want to lower or raise the height of the board from a centered position?) ..and has the ‘tire rubbing’ issue on FW stock boards been resolved? Thank you for any thoughts you might have on the comparison of these boards!!!

The only differences are the batteries and the rails. You can order the ADV with the Pro batteries.

Still not there. The torque on those bonks is way too high, the curve is there for a reason. Needs to be tuned down. Also, wear your helmets! One bad spill and you're a different person.

Like they said, it can be tuned down! I've tried Jeff's trail tune, it's aggressive AF lol, I'm impressed it did as well as it did for tricks with that tune haha.

Stoked to see new boards out there, would love to add a float wheel to the collection. Not sure why but I completely hate the company, it seems shady. “Tony” has got a bigger mouth than Elon musk and the Floatwheel diehards are as pretentious as Tesla owners. Innovation breeds competition which is good for everyone. I’m hopeful that Floatwheel shapes up to be a legitimate business that can fully compete, right now they’re playing catch up.

@@MrDmadness hmm, with “good” being such a general term, I’m going to say yes. I think they do/have done far more good things than bad/poor things. Mind you, this is one persons view point, who is very involved in the community (self proclaimed). In fact I think it is easier to list the things I would like to see onewheel change versus the list of things that they do, that I think are good. Their customer service team feeds you line like Apple repair technicians, I think there are 5 typical responses. Onewheel uses the standard marketing verbiage like any other major company, which can be misleading if you don’t do your research. Making a proprietary tire size for their device, but doing so distastefully (why make the tire have less sidewall??). Taking forever with custom shaping (looks like it might be worth the wait). Not allowing vendors to also act as verifiable service centers. My last and biggest complaint, making the board auto wipe if the battery is disconnected. Most of these complaints make perfect sense from a business standpoint so I don’t think they’re even that valid. Consumers and producers are always gonna want different things, the good companies are the ones that find a middle ground and I think Future motion is pretty dang close.

If you’re not sure, why you hate them, the you should maybe just rethink your opinion. Why do you think they’re shady? So far they‘ve been great. They worked their asses off to ship that amazing board and their support is the best I‘ve ever seen. They are the opposite of shady. And only because I love my adv, it doesn’t mean I‘m like a Tesla fanboy.

I hsve over 30,000 km riding on xr models but the cimpany us absolute garbage snd is going to get buried by vesc, which is superior in every single way. If you can name sonething fm does that vesc doesnt do better im all ears. Fm is a comlsny so willfully ignorant they tried to code lock out s tech device not realizing the age we are in. Ot tool a whole hour to make their bstter to bms locked board work with any battery... thats the level of stupid thats running future motion.

Check the latest video on the Floatwheel channel. It’s already fixed and much better than the old one. I hope my new plastics will come soon. The current (old) plastic won’t last much longer😅
