Flood, Water Damage and a Build on the Go! Kyosho Turbo Scorpion.

5 ай бұрынOur apartment was flooded with extreme water damage as a result. Had to relocate while repairs are underway. So, I decided to do the right thing and start a new build 😂.
In this episode I start an epic Kyosho: The Turbo Scorpion. With some awesome part upgrades, and something a little different than box art, I keep on pushing and have some fun on the Go! Join me in this series as I build one of my favorite Kyosho’s from the legendary series.

And yes the flooding was no good but thankfully no kits or RC’s got damaged. Oh and the family 😅. No damage there either 😂

I have never built any Kyosho models, back when these first came out (yes I am that old) I had to choose between one of these or a Team Associated RC10. I bought the RC10 (and still have it). I also had a Tamiya Rough Rider which I suspect is way heavier than your Scorpion.

If you’ve never built a Kyosho I’d say don’t do it because you will be hooked haha. I love tamiya kits but building Kyosho’s are my absolute favorite. Specifically the ones from the legendary series. Retro kits are my favorite and they don’t disappoint especially when it comes to quality, build and overall finish. I’ll be doing a few with a chain drive and it doesn’t get anymore old school than that! Check them out, but at your own risk hahaha. Tamiya’s really do have the best manuals though.

@@NoNoRc presuming I can afford it, I will look into it. For some reason, putting a new roof on my house seemed more important recently.

😂 I’d say a new roof on the house is 1000% more important though if there was a kit I really wanted you bet I’d procrastinate on the roof until the last possible moment 😅. The kyosho legendary 2wd buggies are very adorable. Same price point as the Tamiya’s.. The 4wd kits can get a little pricey but are still under 400$. Kyosho just released some more batches but they sell out fast and they are very slow on production so if able, I’d pick up some if you can. It seems rather than discontinuing them they just come out with very small batches over very long time periods which causes resellers to jack up the price’s astronomically.
