The G11 won't be brittle for years. You can drive it with no worries for a long time. I made my own carbon fiber G11 out of 2mm sheet, and metal posts. You can do it easily with patience and a rotary tool. I'll make a video about it, if you're interested.

That front bottom plate has to be modified even on the brand new hot shot super shot and the hot shot 2 because it doesn’t fit in your steering, Roger are going to bottom out and scrape them on the bottom. You have to actually put two spacers in between the screws that are at the back of that and go up into the chassis. I use the Tamaya brand spacers they come in silver and blue and I continuously always have to buy new bags of those. I keep 50 of those things around to shim up every little screw that’s pertains to steering, and the rods that I use for suspension pins I never use the screws anymore unless you heat the screw up and send it into the model so that it actually cuts its own threads into the plastic. You never want to use a screw pin cold into the plastic because as the model sits, you’ll come back when they find all of your upper and lower suspension arms have cracked , I was taught that technique back in 1986 folks noticed that the plastics were a little different and threading the screw pin in would inevitably crack the round part of this suspension arms I believe in some of the directions they would tell you to threaten at time and then back it out the plastic
@NoNoRcАй бұрын
100% on the screw pins. Never a fan. Yeah, I end up always using those spacers to shim everything and take out some unwanted slop. Thanks for sharing this old school information mate. It’s like gold when it comes to these cars. Thanks for taking the time and watching! 👍🤟

On eBay, there are adapters that you take that on off switch slide it into a 3-D printed adapter and still mounted in the correct to my location
@NoNoRcАй бұрын
That’s Rad, wasn’t aware of those. I’ll have to check them out. Power switch is always a pain to find a good location lol 👍
@Jonny.T.Ай бұрын
If you change over the front shock absorber arms left to right it stiffens up the front end and it is harder to bottom out.
@NoNoRcАй бұрын
Thanks for this mate. Didn’t know that.. Yeah, I was going to swap to even thicker shock oil in the front but I think I ll try this out first instead. Thanks for watching and sharing 👍

Awesome informative video. Just what i was looking for. I thought the wing looked out of place too like a person without a neck or something. I found a wing that's even more elevated and positioned further back. I got PS 52 anodised gold and I'll leave out the silver stickers that run down the centre. Looking forward to more vids. Thanks mate from Bundaberg down under

you will love driving this . i used threadlock. unfortunately to much on my beetle build as i stripped a screw. i’ve found the huge grub screws locking the suspension bar in will come loose without the tl.
@NoNoRc3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. Yeah I’m crazy looking forward to getting this thing out. I was a little heavy with the blue tl on those front grub screws as I know exactly what you’re talking about.. Insane how solid and heavy feeling she is. A significant weight difference over the beetle. Part of me wishes I went with a 15t motor but will see how this 17t performs. Still want some good torque with the big tires.. As always thanks for watching mate 🤟✌️

What was the reason why you couldn't replace the two rear screw pins with the stainless suspension shafts?
@NoNoRc5 ай бұрын
The Tamiya screw pins measure 46mm. I had some 48mm suspension shafts that I thought would work. Unfortunately, you’d need at least 50mm. Those tamiya screw pins don’t go all the way through the arm which I didn’t know until assembling. Hence the reason even 48mm was too short. The closest shafts I could find were 52mm so they would work with some spacers but I didn’t want to wait and pay for shipping so I just settled for screw pins on the lowers.. Hope this helped, thanks for watching !
@toyolien16945 ай бұрын
@@NoNoRc Thank you. I thought you were going to say that there wasn't enough room to get an 'e' clip on the other end and that's why you didn't fit them. I have a fair few shafts so will go and measure them. Great video.

Yes, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the color blue they went with. For some reason it looks way better on the Tamiya Wild One, though I’m told it’s a slightly different blue over the Blockhead Hotshot..
