I'm wondering how Granny comes up with ideas on what to make for lunch. I'm sure she uses up what you have on hand sometimes, but just curious if the family gives input or she just comes up with the menu. It's always different and looks good! What a beautiful wonderful granny you have!

Your family makes me smile and laugh. Callie makes it so very special smile. ❤️❤️👀🙏🏻🤟👣👏😅 I been canning like my Grandmother did back in the days. I was 12-14 years (79 age now) we went to the farm for weeks during harvest time. My cousin had small hands so she got the of washing jars, I have large hands and I got the job of peeling tomatoes and other things in washtubs. Had 2 stoves running all day and nights. Had 2 little red wagons and make 4 trips to the fields mid morning for coffee and water leftovers biscuits jelly from breakfast , cookies for the field hand. ( share cropper hands, then lunch and😅😅 afternoon break. Then supper to if Grandpa says’ till you can’t ( see).

It’s amazing how healthy your crops are always seem to be . I am curious if you could talk about how do you keep your soil healthy. For example, I have heard you mentioned using animal manure, crop rotation, cover crops , and anything else you do to be smart farmers. May be winter time is when you are less busy. Thanks for feeding all of us.

Oregon, Washington, and California would love to have some of that rain. Too bad it can't be moved westward. Lasso the clouds and send them west! Bears probably don't bother you because they're fat and full with corn and don't have any cubs with them. The cattle will love the over ripe corn, so it won't be wasted. How about a few ears for the ladies? My chickens peck it right off the cob and look for more.

a great deal of the world has no idea where their food comes from, or the hard, hard work it takes. Most of these new generation would loose their minds if they found out most of their food was grown in DIRT!! God Bless our farmers, ranchers, and all those that work hard to feed America.

You are so right…plum…..hard, hard work is correct. These farmers are most always smiling, but we know, there are stormy mornings, when they would all, just like to pull the covers over their heads, and catch a few more hours of shut eye! Unfortunately, the cattle need feed, the chickens eggs must be gathered, and that is just the beginning! Blessings to ALL farmers. It’s a big job, a huge responsibility, and often, with limited income. This is one family that I really admire! THANKS FARMERS ! Your hard work IS noticed. Bev in Maine
