Italy Travel Video, Part 2: Florence!
It was an easy trip from Venice, taking just over two hours by express train.
Compared to Venice and Rome, Florence's city center is compact, so we planned a one-day visit. However, we found that there were so many places to see within this small area that it felt like we couldn't cover everything. We skipped the Uffizi Gallery, which allowed us to take it easy, but if you plan to visit the gallery as well, you'd need at least two days.
The Bardini Gardens, which offer a panoramic view of the city, were less crowded and filled with greenery, making it feel cooler and perfect for a break. It’s a great spot to visit if you need a change of pace after shopping!
One of the highlights of our day was enjoying a delicious lunch at a restaurant recommended by a friend's connection at another restaurant. This made us feel the true joy of traveling. We also did a lot of shopping and got plenty of souvenirs in Florence!
