Honestly a good rendition. Had some coloring to it to make it different without going overboard and burying the actual anthem in it. Also didn't really stretch it out, which I'm very glad about. So many people try to make it into this big thing, but I think, outside of the Hendrix rendition which is an outlier because it was both the anthem and a political statement in one song, the best renditions of the national anthem are pretty concise and without any of the "look at me" stuff in it. John Wane checked basically every box that, to me, makes a good rendition of the anthem.
@Moose6340 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, he did it right. Some of the vocal gymnastics that singers do with the anthem drive me nuts. Florida Man here kept it fairly straightforward (for a guitar version of TSSB).

@@shinski8114 I can understand some people may consider this too deep, but I'm a musician who has spent most of my life watching and listening to other performances alongside performing myself since I was in grade school. I've heard so many performances and done so many performances of the anthem specifically that it's hard for me not to have opinions on them. And I know I can be wordy, but I did my best to get my opinion across without going overboard. I think I didn't do too bad of being clear without being excessive.

And, he's a force for good creating future musicians. "Through its “Rising Star” program, it has gifted between 200 and 300 instruments to children over the last couple of years. Wane said once a child has been gifted an instrument, they become part of the “Rising Star” family for life. It went from there." “We gave an instrument to a young man, and it turns out his father works security here at the stadium,” Wane explained. “He got to talking to some of his co-workers about it, and they invited me to do this.” - Paul Wane
