I’d be so ashamed and embarrassed to even think I could get away with something like this… I’m not sure what part of growing up did their parent’s miss to explain the importance of being productive one day and contributing to society. And then sadly, most parent’s did. But this is a grown woman who had to know the impact of what she was doing. She’ll move out of state and do it somewhere else. Because now that she ratted out her crew I doubt she’ll show face in Fla again.

Stores need to implelpment "no receipt, no refund". This will stop alot of shoplifting. I'm down for it!!
@axles_of_fate Жыл бұрын
That's when they go into the fitting room with two of everything works for stores that require receipts. The first set is returned normally with the receipt while the second set (that is stuffed in street clothes) is sold to fencers like the gentleman with the store toward the end of the video. I know old comment but just saying.
@karenscales50774 ай бұрын
It is already implemented. This video is old as dirt. That alone tells u it was years ago. Way b4 cell phones. Now u need for the tag to still be on the clothing as well. You can't return if the tag is off of it. Even with a receipt.

It becomes an addiction...the stealing. I'd imagine if they were taught to do it by family they don't see it as something wrong to do. I've busted shoplifters, when I was a manager at a retail store, and they had a wallet full of money but got caught stealing cheap stuff. A lot of these people stealing do it for the high of adrenaline and because they've got away with it so many times they don't see the point in paying for it. Until they realize it comes with a high price of destroying their record as well as breaking any trust they had, now and in the future, with their jobs, coworkers, family and friends.

Finally, we had a woman who came in and stole the highest denomination amount for Xbox. She had torn out the whole fixture with around 50+ cards on it. Actually, it would not be......A Chairmen/CEO of Fortune 500 company is bright, has been to one of the BEST business and/or law schools, is politically connected, married well, has a large top 100 law firm on a "speed-dial" retainer, is cravenly competitive, a likely clinical psychopath, equipped with LOADS of judgment, tact, and guile.....AND has MOUNTAINS of cash at his disposal...So, it's actually QUITE HARD to get such a person for anything...ever.

Worked in a dept store for 16+ yrs. It is a daily problem, epidemic. I was always wondering why our local police didn't set up a sub-station in our mall. One time, I was on the phone to 911 on our sidewalk, describing the thief, and her car, parked on the curb with the get-away driver, while she unloaded the buggy, ignoring my pleas to stop and come back in to curtail her charges. Instead, she opted for the hard way. She ended up ditching the driver at the Wal-mart across the street, running down the highway on the wrong side of the road while deputies were in pursuit, and going down a dead end dirt road where she was apprehended. Also lost her weave in the resisting arrest struggle. Wonder if she determined the value of her foolish decision was worth more than the retail of her 'take'.

When I was 19 (about 20 years ago) and going through college I worked at Walmart in the men’s dept, (and helped with other soft lines areas) that was the section where shoplifters would leave various packages such as empty CD cases, opened packages with the products missing, food wrappers and honestly it was incredible what they took and how quickly they could take it. It didn’t matter how many people were around they worked in groups. And I was a naive 19 year old so I only noticed a tiny bit of it but I found the aftermath quite a lot. And they would hide the empty packages in the men’s underwear and socks section. The oddest thing I found was two empty beta fish jars. Don’t know why you’d need to steal a couple of beta fish but then again I don’t know why you’d need to steal half the stuff they stole. It really does rise prices after a while. And our box of stolen empty packages was insane and it was every single day. We also had knock out drag out fights over products. The biggest one was a flannel lined jacket that these two women went into a fiat fight over and I was like “we have more in the back,” and they literally stopped fighting and then the kicker was that one lady ended up not even buying the jacket that just a few moments earlier she threw punches over. Ahhhh the stories I had from Walmart. But I honestly enjoyed working in the men’s dept.

When I was in my 20s I applied for a job to find out it was for woman’s security person in a Foleys Dept store. They would send me to training and it was really good money. It was 3 months of training and give me a license to carry. I went home to tell my husband and he said hell no. He was afraid I’d get hurt really bad carrying a gun. So I didn’t do the security job. I told them no and Thry said ok then would I work where I pointed them out? I still said no. I thought about it for months. Then my friend took the job. After she was beaten up really badly by two women that were two little tiny women I said ok well I’m glad I didn’t take that one. Lol

I imagine that there is a way to use the computer and the barcodes etc. to stop this particular kind of theft because the database could be structured so that an item would have a unique ID and would show up with a flag saying that it had never been paid for If it was brought back to the store

r seda As are your now Government. Yes, they have absolutely NO right to steal or excuse it. Why don't ABC run a story of the bankers, the huge cooperations and now the corruption in your white house. If there was more attention in the inner cities, better education, housing, opportunities, health care etc etc, wouldn't that have a greater effectiveness than throwing poor, uneducated people in jail at the cost of billions each year to the American tax payer? I'm not American, but there is an obvious problem that people just want to label and blame without ever discussing a why and how to make it different to enrich and develop all people.
