Best shops send photos of work they perform for this very reason. Sure they could send old photos, but if parinoid use paint pens to make marks everywhere to ID at a later time.

What a wild coincidence! I literally dropped my Sprinter off with Dr A yesterday to do exactly this job. My harmonic balancer started jingling when I got it back from the body shop the other day (after 3 weeks of restoration work. It had to be a coincidence and nothing to do with the bodywork.) and the good doctor was able to diagnose it over the phone with the help of my local mechanic based on the telltale jingle it made. One thing that confuses me is how we were able to remove that outer ring so easily to stop the jingle until I could drive up to South Carolina without going through all of the hassle involved in installing the new one! My local guy was able to just put my Sprinter on a lift and reach underneath with a single tool to pop that ring off.

I would switch to a breaker bar for the +90. Seems like the calibration on the torque wrench might be changed by exceeding the setting so much.

How do these people sleep at night? Maybe they think if it's broken just put a whole new engine in.

Will the high pressure pump kick on while the radiator is disconnected?

I ordered the Autel scanner from your affiliation link. Will it work if my ECU is defective? 2002 Spinter. Van ran great then shut down and unable to start. It will crank over fine. And all my instrument panel lights do not lite except the SRS light, which stays on.
