An in-depth look at my Stitchmate floor stand! This stand is no longer made, unfortunately. The only way to get one is to buy it off someone who already owns one.

I have one of the very first (stamped #12) of these when they were named Stitcher Station. I also have a table top stand as well. Roger even delivered to my house I think in 1996 or 1997 as I lived only 20 minutes from them. There were some Improvements and changes over the years. His wife Victoria was the brain behind this design and she had an adorable LNS called Cozy Cottage Cross Stitch which is now closed. I spent LOTS of time there and I miss it very much. Lovely people.

WOW what a wonderful stand. So sad they don't make them anymore. Thanks for the instruction on how it works. I don't have one at all but would love to have one in the future.

Excellent video! Do you think you could use this stand with a recliner chair,. I mean, legs up,..or in a bed?
@Stitcherista4 жыл бұрын
I think you could definitely use it in a bed. And yes a recliner also if you are able to get the stand close enough to you.

Beautiful stand. It's a shame someone in his family didn't continue the business. He may not have even had written plans. He was an artist with wood. TFS 😊

I am also fortunate to be the owner of one of these lovely floor stands. I don't use it as much as I did, as I now use the UK Millennium scroll frames on a different stand. I have mine set up in a spare room to do smaller projects on. It is a real shame that Roger passed away at a relatively young age, his workmanship is outstanding.
@gohogs36026 жыл бұрын
juliaoz you happen to want to sell it? I'd be very interested. Thanks
@juliaperth6 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda, no I am not wanting to sell my stand at this time. I have a few extra items on top of what Danielle has. Roger designed a clamp to hold other brands of scroll rods besides their own scroll rods & a couple of other accessories. It was lovely to see Danielle's video, to remind me how good the stand is....

@@juliaperth are you still using the stand please? I'd be interested in purchasing :)

What’s your thoughts on the lowery stand, as you’ve mentioned it’s extremely hard to find these stands now?
@Stitcherista5 жыл бұрын
The Lowery stand is wonderful!
@danettej50966 жыл бұрын
Is there another floor stand you could or would recommend?
@Stitcherista6 жыл бұрын
Danette J50 I would recommend the Lowery that is sold by sew and sew in the UK. You can put any type of q snap, stretcher bar, scroll rod in it.
@jacquelinekaleel6566 жыл бұрын
I have this stand and love it! But I do not have the adaptor for the q snaps. Is there any way you can give me the dimensions on this piece? I have someone who could possibly make it for me. Thank you.

Jacqueline Kaleel I will measure it and get back to you
@Stitcherista6 жыл бұрын
Jacqueline Kaleel it is 4 inches long and 1 3/8 wide but there is ridges on the inside and outside that are impossible to measure.
