I keep seeing people’s huge collection of needle minders and can’t imagine the amount they paid. Make your own. Get button magnets from Amazon and then find cute things to glue them to. I have used jewelry charms from any craft store. I’ve seen others use lapel pins that they’ve cut off the pin part. Much cheaper and so many cute options.

Omgoodness I gasped when you said the full coverage on 25 ct linen wouldn’t be seen and the shop owner said that because you most certainly would! You stitch over 2 threads on evenweave fabrics making it equivalent to 12.5 ct Aida in this case if there were such a fabric count. Weeks Dye Works aka WDW is handdyed on DMC base floss as are most of the other handdyed flosses. When you get into the silk floss, and I hope you do, those are a whole different base. Great haul of flosses you got from Keepsake Shop and the needle minder is cute! Great progress on your WIPs.

Love the quilt you made to preserve your aunt’s handwork. When you mentioned you were from Rochester NY I was surprised to hear you say Keepsakes was the first cross stitch shop you had visited. I just travelled to your area to visit Hobby House Needleworks in Pittsford,NY. I did not have as much will power as you and did support their community! Then you mentioned you were traveling to New Hampshire, that’s where I’m from, Lebanon,NH. Where in NH is your family that you will be visiting? Was excited to see your video. Wow! You had more willpower than I would of going into a needle work shop. I'm a big fan of H. Potter also. You should try audio books, especially when stitching it's just so relaxing listening to a good book and stitching. I'm a big quilter too, and listening to a book just is so relaxing.

I'm a full coverage stitcher and I usually use 25ct easy grid or another plain evenweave. Then I stitch one over one.

I can't wait for your stash video. It's almost as fun to stash dive someone else's stash is it is my own. The HP charts go along with a Frogwarts retreat that takes place in July. This coming July will be Year 4. I think Year 2 is already sold out. It sounds like either Year 3 is sold out or has not been released to the public yet. There is a stash unload site for Black Needle Society items. You might be able to find Years 2 and 3 there. Merry Christmas!

hi! Very nice Flosstube! I'm in Fairport, NY you should go to Hobby House Needleworks-I took kids there on a field trip last May-it;s an amazing place in Pittsford in Schoen Place along the canal. The Aida you got is "ivory" in cursive they didn't dot the "i" lol

I bet the color is Ivory which looks like worry on the paper .

I have enjoyed watching our videos, and it is a shame we don’t have a cross stitch lns in Lexington, there use to be one in Louisville
