Snow village is coming along nicely, I cannot get the hang of french knots for the life of me, Continental knots????never heard of those, I have enjoyed seeing your Hello series months when you stitched them, I think they woulf be fun to have on display each month.

Have you tried a Chinese knot it’s way simpler. Just type in Chinese knot and it will come up with videos ❤

Hello!! One of the great things about living in the country - we've never had Trick-or-treaters in the 8 years we've lived here!! Many people are saying Trunk-or-treat has really decreased the number of visitors on Halloween too...maybe you didn't miss many...

Hello! Your weather sounds like ours. I personally don't mind French knots, I haven't tried continental knots, and I might do those next time.

Well Hello Christine! A tip for embroidery without the right size hoop; get yourself a piece of cotton voile or batiste. Use that to mount the hoop, place your decorative fabric on top of the cotton and baste in place then embroider through both pieces. When done you can cut the underside just smaller than the decorative piece and finish as normal.

Hi Christine, your Winter Village is looking so great and I love your applique work. I just love the little Hello monthly charts that you created in the past year and I would love to make those for my daughter. If it were'nt for my grandchildren, I probably wouldn't bother celebrating Halloween as it's just not my jam or my favorite holiday. Nonetheless, I hope you cozy in with your Mister and have a cup of hot cocoa, sit under a blanket and enjoy hiding away as that sounds like the most perfect evening to me.

I used to love to decorate for Christmas. However for the last 5 or 6 years I don’t want to bother. At first I would at least put up a tree but for the past 3 years I don’t even do that. I loved the decorations but just hated cleaning it up. So yeah it’s Bah Humbug in my house😂😂😂😂

We hide out in our house every Halloween. To be fair, no one ever comes anyway -- when we first moved there some of my husband's students would come out, but no one has come in several years, and Halloween just isn't my thing, so we just do the same as you. Turn off all the lights on that end of the house and hide out in rooms where you can't tell that we're home. :-) Always nice to catch up with you and all of your projects. ~Katrina
