Your stories nade me a chuckle. Yes the DMC folder with actual floss is a life saver for sure. Glad you're getting those medical appointments taken care of.

Thank you for the further information on knitting the gusset and picking up stitches! That makes so much sense! Of course, it's too late for me to give it a go on my current sock (with contrasting heel), as I'm already past that point, but next time for sure. 😊😊 BTW, in one of my attempts to figure this out, I actually tried leaving the heel side (needles 1 and 4) on DPNs, and the rest on the circular, and just brought the right needle across behind the heel every time I got to those 32 or so stitches. It was not easy, and after a couple rows, I decided that this couldn't possibly be how you do this because this is nuts. So I gave up and picked up my DPNs. 😂😂

Woohoo! That distelfink is looking just gorgeous. My mum purchased a vintage / antique little square of cross-stitch - nothing valuable, but really gorgeous, blue on some old linen. She turned that into a really lovely cushion, a bit like a mini patchwork. I do love that pine cone story and it's definitely something that I could see myself doing... :P

If you can track one down, what you really need for your Omaniks is a Lowery side clamp, which works wonderfully!! I got mine at Firepoppies.

I had a look, but don’t see anything different than what I have that already comes with the lowery - the side clamp fits onto the long frame adapter. Am I missing something else?

Can you tell me if the floral piece behind you is a cross stitch design or needlepoint? I’m a long-time lurker of your channel and you never cease to amaze me (us!) with all your talent. As a male stitcher I am in the minority here but am as passionate about stitching as everyone else. I also have stitched the Beth Russell Peacock which you shared quite some time ago showcasing it on your stairs I believe. I also stitched the companion piece to it of the orange tree. They are amazing when done. I also loved the SEVAN piece you recently completed and bought it as my next project. Thank you for providing such inspirational content for your viewers! Hello Rick! Thanks for de-lurking and leaving such a great comment, nice to meet you 🙂 The floral piece is a needlepoint, and my friend found it at a thrift shop. I’ll try to do close ups at the beginning of today’s intro. I love it, old fashioned, yet timeless - I’m glad to have it!

does your new dmc color chart have the actual thread samples in it or is it the printed one? I had one of the old ones like yours and it got lost in the move. I bought a new one and it is just a printed card very disappointing. If yours has the actual thread like the old one I will buy it, let me know.

Guess what?? With the 6 foot covid rule, you won't have to worry about anyone seeing your sock heels being off by 1 stitch.....nobody should be close enough to your heels to notice! Tee hee hee 😄😄😄😄😄😄
