The buffers you use in your flow cytometry experiment are a critical component of your sample preparation. Using the wrong buffer additive or the wrong concentration of an additive in your buffer can kill your cells and wreak havoc on your experiment. In this video, we look at some common additives to flow cytometry staining buffers, when to use them, and suggested concentrations for them. If you choose to try any of these out, make sure you test both the concentration and incubation time!
