Moving 3-5 weight classes is rare now so much that it's an achievement to anyone who knows and watch boxing. Manny doesn't count coz he won 8 and no one else has that so he is kinda like the one to chase. Doesn't mean he's not great, it's just that it's impossible to do that now.

That’s the great thing about boxing. There are many amazing fighters, past and present. Many styles to suit all tastes. PAC is an incredible champion. I also just watched Floyd’s entire career of fights here on KZfaq and he’s something special in the sport.

@@gottgaame everything floyd does is calculated. He created the " money" persona as a brash arrogant and extremely self-obsessed. Floyd knew he needed to make people want to pay to see him lose and to "shut him up" and " put him in his place." And it worked even better than he thought. He saw that nobody could promote him better than himself. Bob Arum actually did have some some success by promoting Floyd as "pretty boy" - he was an Olympic Bronze medalist who was confident but not cocky and gave a very "friendly" persona. And yeah a lot of boxers have a very self-obsessed persona but in a solo sport you almost have to. So Floyd is actually not the guy he wants us to believe he is. Oh and while Calzaghe is an ATG he is not on Floyd's level of greatness. Floyd is a top 3 to 5 ATG.

@@nvmm166 that’s particularly true. The difference with boxing is that the sport/business is not all under one umbrella. All the different promoters, self promoters, networks hurt boxing. It’s divided. The fights are out there (if you’re following) but some don’t come to fruition because of those things. If you’re not following boxing it’s easy to say it’s not any good fights. If you’re following it you can see where it can improve to where its popular and entertaining again.
