H5N1 started in China and if I recall correctly the first human cases were in China as well. But in general you would be correct, the current strain isn't the same as the ones reported in previous years if I'm understanding this correctly.

In 2014 I worked in an avian influenza outbreak. Let’s just say the tone of everyone involved was fear. Playing with fire and as factory farming increases globally that risk only increases. Why play with the future of humanity when we can easily change our diet? Let alone how awful humans are to non-humans.

Im in a support group for a neurological condition. People share all kinds of things they believe will help, and collustrum is trending. I try my hardest not to shame people that are desperate to find relief, but this is ridiculous. I am very surprised that what was not mentioned in the video is that some large cattle operators feed their cows Chicken Litter. Although it is not legal to feed chicken litter to milk cows, I suspect it is happening because farmers don't care.

problem is simple, the govern-ment(al), ( see the word, N.G.O. ), in general, because they are so corrupt and "partly" crazy, most in the world not believe a thing of them anymore, and they are pro, little eaten meat, this days, and for eat less, for decades already. well, now you see. why this, milk and meat is not good, not really is taken as truth. - and many youtuber etc, use politics / government -views, as on, "weather", c topic, what person one is, etc , so, it is getting even harder, because is seems to massive this days, what is on internet, what as i said, governments want. never forget, feelings play a big role, so if a listen has a basic or feeling of, is a political thing, most not really will listen. - this goes on to sugar ( carbs, starch ), what governments on food pyramid, recommend most, what will be eten on vegan diet. and most know, much sugar is not so good. so 2 times, i should do what governments want, + it is unlogically good for my health / body, well. now you see for sure.

I've been watching this. The center-lefty to lefty-ish folks I listen to have been reporting on it, yet when someone like me makes a comment about the idea that we should stop pursuing animal ag activities they get all pearl grabby in regard to responsibility for what we eat, daily, but they have no qualms about connecting this to GOP policies. OH, want to add that my mom raised goats and we did consume raw goat milk. Supposedly it is supposed to be better for babies- human babies who have reaction to cow milk and the pasteurization process kills the benefits... I hated goat's milk. tastes like the goat smells. Now days I can smell the cow on cow milk. YUK. PS Kitties should never get milk from any animal past their baby days, or cheese, ...and for rescue kittens there are some specialized formulas.

Probably because animal ag is a practice done for thousands of years and its dire effects on health and climate can be traced back to modern mass industrial farming made possible by interventionist government subsidies for corn beef and dairy and not the mere concept of animal husbandry and agriculture alone. There's also the fact that we don't see these same outbreaks originate in areas of the world with significantly tighter agricultural regulations and health monitoring. The issue a matter of 1) regulation and 2) scale/critical mass, as opposed to the mere concept of animal agriculture in any capacity. I've lived next to traditional non-factory farms my entire life as well as known non-farmers who raise chickens, and the scale and density just isn't potent enough for mass outbreaks of this nature.

We are one random mutation away from human to human transmission. Then it will make little difference that I am vegan when I can catch it from anyone in the supermarket, cafe, church, sporting event, or doctor’s office. This is a very horrendous unsolvable problem (banning all factory farms is never going to happen) that may play out in a deadly endgame. If not this one then a future one. The band plays on……

We run endlessly after various carrots like money and status on treadmills which power the beast in its pointless conversion of the sacred forest into goods no one needs to distract themselves from our sad lives :) Think of things this way helps me stay motivated in making hobo gardener type decisions :)

It's unclear. H5n1 is a virus we've known about for over a decade and have been monitoring closely. Mortality rate in humans is very high (52%) *but* transfer rate from other mammals (cows) to humans so far is very low and there's only been something like 230 total cases in humans since we started studying it and the cows themselves seem to recover from it and have a very low mortality rate. It's unclear if the mortality rate would hold if there was an outbreak or if there are factors skewing the stats, like for instance if there were asymptomatic individuals who lived but weren't recorded in case counts, or if the virus' (so far) low transmittability to humans means that only people who are susceptible to and more likely to die from the disease are contracting it in the first place. Farm workers who would be most at risk of exposure are also less likely to have access to adequate healthcare. The US has also started pre-emptively developing an mRNA vaccine starting in 2023 for H5n1 (and other diseases) anticipating future pandemics after the covid-19 pandemic. If the world was rational, we might be okay. But I'm anticipating a bunch of people disregarding health initiatives and precautions because they thought the pandemic was a conspiracy.

I took the eCornell 6 part course Nutrition and Healthy Living. Many lifestyle doctors say that an MD degree usually has about 10 credit hours in nutrition, and that is all elemental and not sourcing preferences. How does the course I took compare to what a standard doctor learns for their '10 hours credit'. For whatever it means, each module we took was 15hrs.

I had been feeding my cat commercial raw turkey as is recommended for cats with IBD. However, I am switching him over to cooked. How many vegans had mild to no symptoms from covid, or like me who never got it to begin with, despite being in contact with infected people. Since the 2019 covid outbreak...2 main cemeteries in my city have doubled in size from all the fresh graves, can see the rows upon rows of em driving by. I don't even want to think what the future holds and something tells me this is only the beginning.

No, its not. Feel free to do your research, the information about the infected man is not only found in pro-vegan channels and news. You can e.g. look at what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) writes about this incident and about zoonotic diseases in general. These information have nothing to do with ideology (neither with pro nor with con vegan ideology), these are facts.

When zoonooses spread through Finnish fur farms (we still have 400 of them), government has supported this unethical and unprofitable industry with 50 000 000 (50 milj.) euros! And ATM cuts 100 milj. euros from social services. 🫠 Human kind ain't neither humane, kind nor wise. What a shame!
