I learned that the co-axial rotor configuration eliminates the need for a tail rotor; reducing drag and improving speed and maneuverability. You will too because they say it 3 TIMES in the video. Stellar editing.

It's funny how they say it while showing images of the helicopter where you can clearly see it actually does have a tail rotor, but for a completely different purpose. Someone that isn't that much into helicopters will get very confused.

@@user-tp2hc7bp1o They'll still use all the technology gained from it into the reason this was cancelled. Helicopter drones using all this technology while the pilot is in a control helicopter meant to sit back in a safe position while orchestrating attacks from there. It's the same decision they made with the NGAD fighter program in which they can't go fully automated so they compromise with a mix of both. Either way this is much safer for pilots and we can expect fatalities to be incredibly reduced in war for pilots.

US military helicopters are integral to a wide range of missions, serving critical roles in combat support, troop transport, logistics, medical evacuation, and special operations. Key models include the UH-60 Black Hawk, renowned for its heavy-lift capability and versatility in roles like battlefield support and air assault. The AH-64 Apache stands out as the primary attack helicopter, equipped with advanced weaponry for engaging ground and naval targets with precision. The CH-47 Chinook excels in heavy-lift transport, capable of carrying substantial cargo and personnel for logistical support and emergency operations. The UH-1 Huey, famous for its historical significance, remains a stalwart in transport, medevac, and reconnaissance missions. Lastly, the MV-22 Osprey combines vertical takeoff and landing capability with fixed-wing flight, serving rapid deployment and specialized missions. These helicopters collectively enhance US military readiness and effectiveness across diverse operational scenarios.

the only thing i really would add to the one helicopter is a 2nd tail, forward of the first... why... to help hide the exhaust from the sides. think like an a-10. the way it is now, it will help protect the rear pusher/puller prop blade... but the exhaust can still be seen from the sides really easily i'd bet. maybe a short wing with the same sort of tail build on each side of the exhaust with thermal absorbing tiles, like the ones used in nasa/space x.. to absorb heat and block visibility of the exhaust? anyhow that is what came to mind for me anyhow. peace. as a bonus, if the tail is hit by the rear prop, and fails to function or perform its "duty"... then maybe the other set could help with turning when using that pusher/pull prop as well. or improve the turn rate compared to what it is now if needed.
