Inspired by a recent birding/photography trip to the Sax-Zim Bog, I’m attempting to paint the face of a Great Gray Owl! The techniques I’ll use are a balloon smash, palette knife swipe, and a swipe with a catalyst wedge.
Painting realistic forms with fluid art is HARD! Don’t be afraid to try multiple things, or “fix it in post” with some basic brush work.
