Oh my! After leaving comments on your great tips and tricks, you did a painting using the neon colours! I believe it appears that you do add floetrol and you certainly did demonstrate EACH tip! Thank you! I am running to Michaels after I take my pups for a walk...to purchase some neon colours and give all your tips a try! THANK YOU!

My 6 year old granddaughter and I just playing around with acrylic paint last week. I can't even draw a good stick figure so this has been fun. We have watched a lot of videos and ran across your first blown art attempt a few days ago. I love that you share your growth and especially the positive message in the lessons that you learned in each attempt. This is absolutely beautiful and I am happy that you stopped before overdoing it. The negative space really makes this stand out. Great job!!

A really great technique. Was surprised with the colors and the deep blue set me back, but when you blew it out...OH DEAR!!! love the way this looks. Almost resembles alcohol ink.

So glad you said that Brenda! Early last year, I found and alcohol paining that I loved but I had no idea what it was or how to do it. While researching, I found fluid painting and that's how this all started so it's funny to hear you say that!

I tried this today and was so disappointed, the paint hardly moved except in the middle and then started drying. I was using the same hairdryer as u did but I kept hitting the canvas with the tip. Everything that could go wrong, did! I waisted so much paint! But I then clean off the canvas and just did a pour. I will try again, it looks beautiful!

Did you put a bunch of white down 1st as she did it's good to do that it helps the paint move easy and if you mix ur paint with a medium and a little water it should not dry until the next day thought I would try and help you hope I did

They made a toy years ago that would take a small card 3×5 and spin it while it was in a box that had sides that would stop the paint from flying all over the place. I think it was called spin-art.

I am new to this technique and i watched you..you are realllly amazing..i wish i could go the same way but it never turns out the way i want..one thing i was stuck with is that which paints are you using. Are they synthetic or acrylic fluid? They really are too nice..

She said she got hers @ Target for $15 bucks. 1875 watt , 3 speed; with hot & cool settings. I got mine @ Burlington [ Juicy Couture ] for $20 & it has the exact same wattage, 3 speeds, & hot & cool settings. Plus it came with 2 attachments:)

Does Floetrol let off a lot of fumes when you use? Do you need to do it outdoors or in a well ventilated area?

Nope. It barely smells of anything. I've went through 2 gallons in the last month. I use it indoors:) Lowe's has it on sale right now for $15 [ 164 fl ounce] jugs:)

When using the hair dryer how do you keep the paint from forming a 'skin'??
@MeishaArt
@MeishaArt 6 жыл бұрын
You go REALLY fast and keep the hair dryer passes to a minimum. It is really tricky and you only get a few minutes to manipulate the paint before you just can't anymore. Keep an eye out for the tips and tricks video soon to come!
