The plaintiff says he hired the defendant to fix four toilets in his home, but one still doesn’t work. He claims he’s reached out several times but been ignored, so he’s suing for a partial refund. The defendant says the plaintiff only asked for three toilets to be repaired and he’s trying to get the last on fixed for free.

I'll bet the plumber owns the business and has allowed his Wife to work there. Now she thinks she is in control of everything but likely will run husband's business into the ground. He knew she was wrong here and that is why he wasn't there. Smart guy. Let the Judge tell her what's up. I see divorce in their future. Hubby has a skill that is quite in demand. Her, probably not so much.

I don’t get Milian’s lecture on the plaintiff being dismissive. He wasn’t condescending in his emails, even when he was angry because his toilet wasn’t working. But why shouldn’t he dismiss the defendant? She wasn’t the one who did the work, she wasn’t the one who promised to come back and fix the toilet, and she wasn’t the one who offered a settlement. Why should the plaintiff be communicating with her when the other owner of the business had already made promises to resolve the issue? I’d dismiss her excuses, too.

I'm sorry I can absolutely understand why she had an attitude with him, he feels entitled to a service just because he paid for 3 out of the 4, that's not how that works. Such little money?! 🙄 If it was such little money either would be there fighting for the “little money.” So many people put too much faith in what they read over social media. Three-quarters of Americans live too much through social media! Many need to stop believing everything they read or may have heard that comes from social media. 🙄 It's like saying, NAH NAH don't go here or there because “someone said” on social media sites that it's bad, bad boogie man bad. 🤣 Grow up people and stop being followers. 🙄

@@thesun-N-moon8885 I mean people share their experiences on social media, and they have things like Yelp dedicated so people can share people’s experiences. Don’t get me wrong I hate what social media has become but sometimes feedback is helpful. I just spared myself a bait and switch situation for something I was going to get my dad for Father’s Day because I read the reviews. Just saying it can work both ways.
@courtz941
@courtz941 3 жыл бұрын
@@thesun-N-moon8885 When I decide if a company is one I want to work with (or don’t), I do that based on reviews. If a smaller percentage is bad, not a big deal, every business is bound to have a few customers with a bad experience. But if that business has a large amount of bad reviews, then that leads me to believe that the business has bad practices or bad customer service and I won’t be going there. So reviews and feedback are extremely helpful for others.

The defendant and her husband had better start working together or they’re going to lose this business. She had no business going back and forth with the customer after her partner had resolved. This was petty. Period. And obviously her husband thought so too being that he didn’t show up. And the customer did not have to deal with the wife after a resolution was already set. He was quite polite. He did not belittle her. The judge’s perspective on this makes me think she has power issues...

The husband knew she was wrong. That's why he didn't want to come to court. Also, a lot of females don't understand that when men deal with each other, including in business, you shouldn't get in the middle of that. Her husband told the client he'd fix the fourth toilet on his dime (most likely to make up for the dissatisfaction the client was feeling up to that point). It's part of customer service and client satisfaction. She erred by standing in the middle of that gentleman's agreement and then having the courts involved.
