I got my 407 setup a few months ago, and while it costs an arm and a leg, I am beginning to see it's the best aquarium investment I've ever made. Incredibly quiet and is keeping my 100 gallon tank sparkling. I just hope it lasts. Only negative I can think of is the cheap brackets that hold the hoses at the top of the aquarium. Those suck.

Good to never ram anything unless you are doing it for the fun of it , always remember to take the time to protect your seals with food safe lubricant, I get mine from a brew and grow store which is a great deal compared to Fluvals tiny little thing.

Just bought a 107 and got no biorings. It only has 2 baskets. Seems like maybe they changed the design? 🤔

That's good to know interesting they would get rid of the bio rings...

It’s because the 107 is smaller which is why it only has two baskets leaving no space for the bio rings. However, If you want it use them just buy some biomax and put a handful in the bottom tray below the biomax+ sponge.

My new fluval207 doesn't have the red locking mechanism to lock the valves in place. It was brand new/unopened. It's working fine without it, so maybe they did away with that?

Great video. Thank you for the help. Question, looks like I have the same tank as you also. The lights died on the hood and can not find a replacement. Do you know of any or have any recommendations? Thank you

I would try to go through the manufacturer if you can. I really do not even use the light because it promotes algae growth.
