Beatiful tank, although it looks like you got a mix of boraras rather than chilis
@TankedUpLife-te5uyАй бұрын
True I have a mix of both! Good catch! Went back for more boraras and they were gone so went with some chili rasboras. They all get along nicely :)

Beautiful scape! One small thing is that the current may be too strong for the chilis, they really thrive in slow moving water!
@TankedUpLife-te5uy2 ай бұрын
They are actually doing ok. The current is only near the top of the tank and they actually seem to enjoy swimming into the current often. At night they hide / sleep in the plants that are near the front of the tank (no current up front).

Nice setup! We just put 10 baby guppies in a tank 2.5 gl like that for them to grow out planted we new starts. Low maintenance.

looks beautiful. hard to see if the corys have enough sand to play in. Lots'a stone in there. I'm still in the process of learning , rearranged my tank to give my panda cory's more space to roam and dig. How's the pump noise? The pump for my 57 fluval turned up from 35DB noise to 45 DB within a week - without contact to the walls.

Yeah I agree. I wish there was some more free sand but I really wanted to use that piece of driftwood. The pygmy coreys don't need the sand as much as regular coreys do. They mostly sit on rocks and within plants.

Totally quiet. Makes zero noise.

What are the name of the plants glued to the rocks on the large driftwood?

Hygrophila Corymbosa Compacta. It's a very easy foreground plant. Stays fairly low but grows wide and thick. I bought it online from dustinsfishtanks.com - great website to buy plants. Thanks for watching!

@@petnanny77 Hygrophila Corymbosa Compacta, Myriophyllum matogrossene, Ludwigia triple res, dwarf sagittaria subuleta, and the green bush in front of actually Monte Carlo. Don't trim it like a carpet and it turns into a nice green bush.

I'm sorry you needed to shut down the 2.6 gallon Fluval..I was going to ask you how everyone was doing. I have 4 of those, each has a betta w/couple shrimp and a snail. How did your Otto's do? What do you feed them... I heard they can be a bit challenging.
@TankedUpLife-te5uyАй бұрын
Ottos are super easy! They are algae eaters. I have them in all my tanks. At most I'll throw a sinking algae water but I have never had to feed my Ottos. As long as you have live plants they will keep the algae off the leaves. They are a must have fish in a planted tank. Nothing to worry about. Buy 2 for your small Fluval tank. They will be fine.

Thank you so much Dave! Appreciate it!! I have the Fluval 5 galllon too...appreciate your help and insight 🤗
@TankedUpLife-te5uyАй бұрын
They eat a lot of algae so you only need 2 in your fluval Spec and fluval V. I have 3 in my 20 gallon and 3 in my 30 gallon. People don't realize how much algae they consume and buy too many for their tanks. 2 is more than enough for both tanks. You can see their bellies get round and you will know they are finding enough food. Good luck!
