Fly Fishing a GORGEOUS SMALL Trout Stream for LARGE WILD BROWNS

4 жыл бұрынDue to heavy rains during the week, a lot of the Central PA streams were a bit higher than I wanted to wade in. That tells me the tribs must be prime. Sure enough this stream was on FIRE. This was arguably my best day of 2020. Around 20 plus fish landed, with some large small stream browns brought the hand. The double nymph rig on the Mono Rig shined in the tight quarters. Really appreciate that. We will see about way beyond. Long road to 1K, but has been fun and I have learned a lot about fishing, filming, and EDITING. Man that's a lot of work. Just as much time spent off the stream, as it is on lol. You get it though. Glad we can support each other!

Hey Scott. Thanks for checking them out man. I still have a lot of things to improve on editing wise with new techniques. Just gotta commit to learning and implementing. Not to mention focusing on getting "B-roll". Good news, your Kreelex moved and landed a nice fish for me. It will be on film in the next one I do. He was foul hooked, but only because he swiped and I set and got his belly as he went back down from missed take. Still counts :) Thanks again buddy!

Thanks man. Just checked out yours as well. Another great trip. You have been out laying the wood to them as well. Penns Creek tribs are great. This was the best one I have fished so far though.

Thanks buddy. Just noticed this got held off/flagged. Not sure why. Thanks as always for the support. Soon enough, probably a week or two, I should be at 1K. Just need to get watch time up. That 4 months off crushed my view hours. However, I think I can hit that marker in a month, based on upload frequency. All a fun ride, but glad to have met some cool people along the way like you.

Great video man! I love how you fish the tribs, its something I've grown to love doing and it seems to have better fishing than even the main creeks/rivers sometimes. They also seem to have less pressure in my opinion. You're almost at 1k as well, can't wait for you to get there!

Couldn't agree more! I much prefer the tribs. I know it takes out my chance at 20" fish more regularly, but if I got one then the thrill of netting it would be through the roof. As for as pressure goes though, it is substantially down. My guess is not many people put in the work, research, or want to have to bushwack it through. I have no problem with all of that. This was honestly one of my favorite streams. I could have had half the success this day and still had a blast, and a darn good video. Thanks for watching. By July 1 I should be to 1K. Long road there, but a fun one. Thanks as always for your guys support.

do you pinch down the barbs on your flies

I actually just buy all barbless hooks. Lose some fish as a result, but easier on them, and release. For streamers most come barbed, then I typically pinch down as needed.
