Fly Fishing during the last week of May, the adult salmonflies on the Deschutes River in Oregon start driving fly fishers and rainbows crazy. This video, Sky High Salmonfly, came together with weather perfect, bugs everywhere and with two fly fishing angler/guides with a rare day off work. Elke Littleleaf and Jakob Lund get caught up in the frenzy. Amid great scenery and slashing strikes on dry flies, I experimented with some new camera technology.

Great video. Really shows how to wade fish for fish at the banks. That water looks amazing for late May. Normally our river (the Bitterroot) is blown out from snow melt at that point.

I saw the sling shot method being used nice I was a young boy in the Adirondacks fishing for brook trout in small Brooks using the sling shot method to put a grasshopper in a small pool with a homemade rod that my grandfather helped me make. Great video thank you

When I first told my old fishing buddies back in Michigan about 'sling shooting' bugs under trees, they were like... *WOW! Why didn't I think of that?* _(basically the same response I got when I started sending them videos of me catching monster 'Redsides trout' in the Deschutes river!)_
