Caught King Salmon on my fly rod many years ago in a remote river, Float Plane access only. Looks like the same kind of fly. Very hard to sink a fly in a pool where the Kings always pick the cliff side of the pool where the water is deepest and fastest. Had a major fall flood which re-arranged the pool I had access to and allowed me to stand upstream from the new pool and merely float the line downstream and hold it it one spot. Had 5 strikes before I hooked one fish. It tasted might good.

Thanks you so much for these and videos and the others in your educational series! I spent my first summer this year swinging for chinook, and after much experimentation, great outside advice and a moderate sample size, arrived at a very similar system to yours (though far less refined).
