@@h4sanbf maybe, but I was just thinking about their launcher, their website, tutorials ect. all things that just seem too professional and structured for a simple "freetime-project" or even just an idie developer. And you have to consider the scope of this mod and future projects like the A380X. All that just feels more 'premium' than what I am used to from many open-source mods/programs

Zibo was a 3 year project. Look at what FBW has done in 8 months. Lets not turn this into a Zibo vs FBW thing and enjoy what they offer for what they are at this time. Neither are worth anything because of open source and your enjoyment.

@@h4sanbf they did however make a remake of the cockpit and improved many textures and buttons. Not to say that they added a damn printer, which must be a premiere for MSFS. they are taking Asobos API to the limit and new stuff is added/replaced with an improved version every week. (Coustom Autopilot, LNAV, MCDU, new Hydrolics, AC, brakefans,... ect.) it's not like they are sleeping. Yes, it's not a full product, but with their scope, it does not have to be yet.

hi, how do I know when to change the airways from one airport to the other? and like with LIMC when I try to put the runway there should be runway 17L 17R 35L and 35R but 35R docent appear plus if I put the airways from my departing airport after when I got tp but the rest of the airways on LIMC it says not in data base any help?

Dumb question. How come when I do managed climb. The plan wants to do a 6,000 vertical speed. Am I messing something up or just missing something. Great video!

To get to INIT-B the video indicates to press INIT and then the right arrow. This doesn't work for me and I can't get to INIT-B. What am I doing wrong? What is the Block and where is that info obtained? If I use the MSFS generated flight plan some data isn't provided (e.g. cost index) - can I skip the missing data insertion if not provided by MSFS and still have AP and ILS flight work? Thank you! Video was very helpful and I created a PDF checklist from it.

I used to have Aerosoft's A320 on FLX, and trying to get used to this.. How do you get the managed speeds to be calculated? I thought that's what the cost index is supposed to do but i see it's not here.

We are actively working on a custom flight plan manager which will enable such feature to be introduced. It will take some time and we cannot really give any indication on when it will be available.

How do you know if you need to use a via or a transition and also when ever i press the insert button to put in all the details instead of putting everything in manually the flight plan is the not the same as the simbrief flight plan, those are only the 2 questions i have

Thank you for the turtorial. The Problem of the A320 (I dont know if its a aircraft or Simulator Problem) it is so hard to change waypoints or routes in midflight. How can I delete the whole plan when I messed something up?! Also the Direct To Button does not work properly. When I want to Direct To a waypoint it flies to this WP but than turnes back to the WP where I come from. That makes no sense....can someone help?

Thank you for the nice video. I seem to have some problems with the autopilot. The buttons HDG and SPD won't turn. Also the QNH button won't turn to STD. I installed the latest update. Does anyone know the answer? What am I doing wrong?

I've done exact same thing but when i clicked on arrival i cannot see the lists of runways,i've tried so many airports but i couldn't fix the problem .

Is there any way I can get the MCDU undocked so I can program it on my screen and not in the aircraft? I can get the screen undocked, but without the possibility to program it.

All my times flying into Manchester have I never landed on 23L. I have 23R. This is because it would take too long to back track to get to the taxiways, instead aircraft land 23R and takeoff 23L

When I put my From/To in the MCDU, it wont place there. When I press the top bar, it stays blank and my text bar just goes back to "GPS PRIMARY" Can somone pls helP?

Search for that airports charts and/or ILS plates on Google :) a lot will be there and for the ones that aren't freely available you'll have to pay for a subscription of some kind unfortunately

The problem with this is ghat unless you plan or load a flight plan know the msfs setup page, you can't use the default ATC specifically to your destination.

Most guru simmers turn off MSFS ATC. It apparently needs a lot of work.

Great tutorial. How does one download mcdu information in the EFB? Like if i use the default msfs flight planner, can I see the flight plan on the efb?

Use simbrief, make a profile on there, in the plane once you turn the EFB on you can sign in on the company page using your simbrief username and then finally go back to the EFB dashboard and select import from simbrief(?). Then go to the dispatch page-ofp and there is your flight plan

Flybywire documentation suggests using Simbrief instead of the MSFS world map.

with respect to your hard work. Importing SIMbrief flightplans from ENBR to EFHK into the MCDU doesn't work in FWB. airways and waypoint created by SIMbrief are not recognized and the error AWY/WPT mismatch appears.

Great tutorial but there's a problem. How do you eliminate the discontinuities? Every time I put in a SID, it shows a discontinuity. I would like to merge them, not go through a fight that ends with me restarting the flight.

To clear it from the flight plan, find the discontinuity, click the clr button to clear the scratchpad then clr button again and then the softkey next to the discontinuity.

I love the FBW A320, very well dine, but how do I activate the flightplan? I keep getting dotted lines instead of a full line on the flightplan......please help!

On auto pilot select the up arrow on the heading adjustment knob. You should get dashes and a dot after them and on your screen the dashed green line should go solid. Then when you turn AP on it will fly your headings on your plan

three questions: 1. why need the IRS to be alligned to start this? 2. why don't you press just INIT REQUEST instead of putting it all in manual? 3. why don't you go via the MCDU menu -> ATSU -> AOC to get the F-Pln

Because they explain the manual way to put the data in. If you want easy/automated stuff, yes Init request works just as good.

@@afffe4444 If flying an ad-hoc route, it would all be manual. If flying a rostered company route, it would be a co-route. We explain in our tool-tip how to import a flight plan from simBrief, but now we are showing how you can enter it manually if you don't use simBrief. Also the IRS need to be aligned so the aircraft knows where you are located in the world, normal procedure IRL and prevents errors.

You can use SimBrief for your flight planning. On your FP, there will be the en-route wind information for your waypoints. The Flex Temp. does not seem to be modeled yet, but there should be calculators online for that.

When I enter the 'to/from' airport codes, I get the reply 'Not in Database'. Yes I have re-checked that I have the correct airport codes.

@@treloarw Not yet. Although the problem does seem limited to 2 UK airfields - Leeds/Bradford (EGNM) and London Heathrow (EGLL)

@@jjsmallpiece9234 I tried multiple u.s. locations. Same. But! I was using the “stable” version. Switched to development version and problem is now gone. Which version do you have. If you’re on dev, I will try those two fields you specified and see if it’s a problem on mine.

@@treloarw I tried a flight using the Boeing Dreamliner, just the FS2020 default model. I tried Leeds Bradford airfield EGNM - it worked fine. So whatever problem I have, seems limited to the FlyByWire A321 navigation database in the MCDU. I didn't try EGLL - London Heathrow.

Identify all Saitek driver files. Uninstall Saitek driver, manually delete leftover driver files. Connect stick, Windows will install a generic driver. Calibration works! I'm using Saitek X45.

doesn't let me select departure and arrival airports....works fine in the standard a320 of msfs, but this fbw is making my hair go white. when i do flight plan with simbrief it loads the fp in the flypad but not in the mcdu although my simbrief username is mentioned in the mcdu. have searched all over the internet with no avail. i think i'm gonna erase this stupid fbw
