I followed in Phileas Fogg's footsteps by Flying Around The World in 80 Hours! My trip around the world took in Kuwait, India, Singapore and the USA, with a combined distance of 22000 miles! I flew business class on some of the world's best airlines; Singapore Airlines, Kuwait Airways and Virgin Atlantic, as well as domestic flights in India with Vistara and Indigo.
My route for this flight: London, Kuwait, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Singapore, Los Angeles and London!
Thanks to Limobike for the ride across London - check them out limobike.com!

For all you railfans out there, you can also make this journey (mostly) by train. Probably not in 80 hours though. This journey maximizes the amount of time you spend on trains (at least as far as I know). 1. Walk to Trafalgar Estate (Stop T) for London Bus Route 188 2. Bus Route 188 to North Greenwich Tube 3. Tube Jubilee Line to Green Park 4. Tube Piccadilly Line to Heathrow Airport 5. Flight to Boston (via British Airways, Delta Air Lines, or Virgin Atlantic) 6. MBTA ("T") Blue Line from Boston Logan Airport to State 7. "T" Orange Line to Downtown Crossing 8. "T" Red Line to Boston South Station 9. Amtrak Lake Shore Limited to Chicago 10. Amtrak Empire Builder to Seattle 11. Walk to Seattle Link Light Rail International District/Chinatown Station 12. Seattle Link Light Rail to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport 13. Flight to Tokyo-Narita (via All Nippon Airways, Delta Air Lines, or Japan Airlines) 14. JR East Narita Express to Tokyo Station 15. JR Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen (bullet train) to Okayama 16. Walk to Okayama Bus Station 17. Chuugoku JR Bus to Yonago Bus Station 18. Walk to Yonago Sakai Line Station 19. Sakai Line to Babasakicho Station 20. Walk to Sakaiminato Port 21. DBS Cruise Ferry to Vladivostok, Russia 22. Walk to Vladivostok Station 23. Russian Railways to Moscow Yaroslavsky Station 24. Walk to Moscow Metro Komsomol'skaya Station 25. Moscow Metro Line 5 to Belorusskaya 26. Walk to Moscow Belorussky Station 27. Russian Railways Paris-Moscow Express to Paris Gare de l'Est 28. Walk to Gare de l'East Metro Station 29. Paris Metro Line 4 to Gare du Nord (or just walk 9 minutes) 30. Eurostar to London St. Pancras International Station 31. Thameslink to London Bridge 32. Southeastern to Maze Hill 33. Walk to the sundial. Can anyone suggest a better route? I'm American, so I'll admit I have a knowledge bias toward the Amtrak network; would Via Rail across Canada have been a longer rail route? Also, is there a better rail route across Japan or elsewhere through Asia?
@andyjay729
@andyjay729 5 жыл бұрын
Oh, how could I forget Ireland! 1. Walk to Maze Hill Station 2. Southeastern to London Bridge 3. Walk to London Bridge Tube Station 4. Tube Northern Line to Euston Station 5. Virgin Trains to Holyhead 6. Ferry to Dublin (Stena Line or Irish Ferries) 7. Walk to Tolka Quay 8. Dublin Bus Route 53 to Amiens Street Junction/Upper Sheriff Street 9. Walk to Dublin Connolly Station 10. Irish Rail to Limerick 11. Bus to Shannon Airport 12. Flight to Boston (Aer Lingus). In this case, you have to go via Boston, since flights from Shannon to Toronto have currently been suspended. And continue...

The Canadian route... Might have more rail time/miles than the American route, but don't quote me on that. 1. Repeat Ireland steps to Dublin Ferry Terminal 2. Dublin Bus 53 to East Wall, Docklands main gate 3. Walk to the 3Arena (Point Depot) 4. Bus 703 to Dublin Airport 5. Flight to Halifax (via Westjet) 6. Halifax Transit Bus Route 320 to Bridge Terminal 7. Halifax Transit Bus Route 1 to Barrington Street before Spring Garden Road 8. Walk to Halifax VIA Rail Station 9. VIA Rail Ocean to Montreal Central Station 10. VIA Rail to Toronto 11. VIA Rail Canadian to Vancouver 12. Walk to Station Street/Terminal Avenue 13. Bus Route 23 to westbound Pacific Boulevard/Davie Street 14. Walk to Canada Line Yaletown-Roundhouse Station 15. Canada Line to Vancouver International Airport 16. Flight to Tokyo-Narita (via Air Canada or Japan Airlines) Repeat, or... 16. Flight to Tokyo-Haneda (via All Nippon Airways) 17. Keikyu Main Line to Shinagawa Station 18. Tokaido Shinkansen to Okayama, etc. PS: All these calculations courtesy of Google Maps. Amazing what you can do on a lazy Saturday.

@@madingwang7778 Hats off to the security guard indeed, he obviously care about the public perception of his country (and public perception of India is terrible), but getting charged 10x on a taxi ride I wouldn't call that "getting robbed". Now if the dude refuse to let me go, want way more money than that after the ride, or try to steal my shit, of course it's a robbery, but simply getting in a taxi and paying 10x for the usual cost you would get is merely a tourist trap. TL;DR: Don't be a dumb tourist.

But I always get stressed at 1:15 when you say your flight is in 3 hours and you're nowhere near the airport! Greenwich to Heathrow, there's a LOT of things that can cause delays. I would have been at Heathrow already by 8:30am!!! Mind you, that would mess up the whole '80 hour' thing. Great work, Noel! Note: The auto-captions are also hilarious! 10:42 'I have now got to hot foot.....' shows 'Iron Man two hot....' Brilliant!

28:01, its a VERY RARE type of flight from Singapore to New York goes westwards over Europe. Two reason, burns more fuel & flying against the wind. With the flights going EAST over the pacific, it goes with the wind saving fuel and gets you there faster.

You are able to put up the wee banners telling us current day and time in London, the same wherever you are at as well as how long you have been on the go (during your quest) and the time remaining. I find it interesting to refer to as you make your journey. Thanks again.👍👏🤝😊😉
