Today I delve into the history of Continental Airlines. This was a major airline from 1934 to 2012. They also were a major part of American culture and the official airline of Jurassic Park.
It's a fun story and full of weird twists and turns. This airline once had a pub on every plane!

What a story! That Pub may be the greatest thing in the history of Air Travel! Wish I had gotten to experience it!

I seem to vaguely remember buying a pack of playing cards midflight at some point in the 90s, but I was a kid. I wanna say they were about half the size of regular playing cards, so you could play solitaire on the tray table.

Continental airlines didn't have too many crashes either. They were kinda responsible for that horrible Concorde accident however.

Growing up it was Continental or TWA and their advertising and merchandised items were everywhere. I guess airlines really pushed it then. Carry on bags, ashtrays, die cast planes and such. I think that was the time of deregulation. Thanks for this.
