Thanks for the air tour of Pensacola, Josh. It brought back a lot of memories...I went through OCS at NAS Pensacola in 1971; trained at Saufley Field in the T-34B (recip T-34), and then on to Whiting Field in Milton, just northeast of Pensacola to train in the T-28's. In 1975 I came back to Whiting as a T-28 instructor, and in that capacity flew all over the Pensacola area and became very familiar with the landmarks. Much has changed!! Saufley Field is now a solar farm! Hard for this old timer to see those kinds of changes (progress?). Now after 8 years of Navy flying and 36 years of corporate flying, I've hung up my professional wings and just fly my Stinson 108. Your vlogs are outstanding. Stinson Guy.

I lived there in the 60's. We had a Whataburger in Pensacola even then. The old A-frame drive-in style, with a neon sign that would light up one letter at a time. Fun times hangin' out there. You flew right over my old house in Gulf Breeze. Thanks for the view!

Dang! You were in my neck of the woods. I have my Cessna at Jack Edwards. It’s beautiful here! Paradise! Cool video of my area. I’ve not flown over Ft Pickens yet but I’ve ridden my motorcycle there many times. Also, love the naval base and the Blue Angels are the best! We are thrilled we live near their home! I flew to Ft Morgan the other day heading east to Dauphin Island and I was on the north side of the beach at 2500’ while the Blue Angels flew on the Gulf side. I had the best seat in the house! You do great work! It’s a joy seeing you grow and succeed. What a great inspiration. Especially, for young folks starting their life. Thank you for that

To the best of my knowledge, that big blue ship that you went over right before you hit downtown is owned by Sir Richard Branson and is being retrofitted for retrieval of some sort of equipment related to his Virgin Galactic rockets. I have flown Austin to Pensacola several times in my Archer to visit my sister, but have never done a sight seeing flight around the area. Will have to do that next time......

First, your general aviation air adventures are awesome! Your sharing of information and thought processes are next to none. I have a couple of your series yet to view but what I've seen so far is the best of many I have viewed. Happy New Year! Keep them coming in 2020! Remind me to tell you about the Lear pilot that flipped out after flying my Helton Aircraft Lark 95 way back in the early 70's... He called it a "Real Flying".

Hey Josh, I really enjoyed this video. You strike a great balance of being professional yet casual, doing all the right things which keep us pilots safe while still having lots of fun. And of course I get a bit jealous looking at the Florida scenery when there's just snow and gray skies outside my window here in Iowa today. All the best for 2020, and I look forward to more videos from you. - Martin

I’ve traveled and spent time in most every Florida city and Pensacola/Navarre are my favorite areas. The people are nice and the water is beautiful. If you have time to explore Ft Pickens it is well worth the time. You also flew past a couple of great places to eat and have a cold adult beverage. Land Shark Landing next to the Margaritaville Hotel is a great beach bar. Peg Leg Pete’s is a great place to eat. You’ve got to get back there and spent some time in the area.

I couldn't agree with you more. Josh, and many of the other aviation KZfaqrs make it look easy. I invested in two GoPros and some mounts and audio adapter and I still have a lot of trouble editing. Even when you try to learn about editing (on KZfaq of course) most of the stuff is outdated to the current version of the editing software. I cant even find courses at my community colleges on video editing. How do you learn to do this?

My son was stationed at Hurlburt Field when he was in the Air Force (electrician on AC130H gunships) and he lived in Navarre. It's hard to believe how much the storm affected the area. Kind of. We get our "stuff" kicked here in Texas too. BTW - Whataburger is in FL because so many Texans were stationed around there :o) The venerable C172 is always a kick to fly no matter what you've been flying
