The military calls for puff when they need air support the a10 warthog is capable of inflicting a whole lot of damage to the enemy. They can flatten whatever they attack. The warthog is one of the best military aircraft ever made.

This has to be fake, same scene as the helo's attack, plus I know not of any pilot that flies with his collision lights on while attacking the enemy but then again they are supposed to be Marines. That explains it all.
