The pilot's ability to remember 8-10 things in short term memory and hold it there for extended period of time after only hearing it once is amazing. I think that after a while, all these instructions, just become one single piece of file in your brain and you just.. kinda feel it. Like switching gears in a car. You just.. kinda do it

For those who are interested, the accident at Ft Lauderdale Exec was a Cessna 340. It happened on March the 2nd, which gives you some indication of how long it takes Steveo to get these videos up. Apparently, the Cessna had a problem with one of the main landing gear, which didn't deploy correctly, and collapsed on landing. There was only the pilot on board, and he was not injured. It took most of the day to remove the aircraft from the runway, which is why there weren't any arrivals. The aircraft was damaged, obviously, but no fire reported.

This Caravan is my favorite aircraft of all time! easy to work on as aircraft engineer, a joy to fly as pilot and brings a smile to owners as this is cheap maintain/operate & sparks the soul. Brought great memories! Thank you for sharing!!! 😊🖖

I’ve copiloted one of these a couple times at the local Skydive and they do love to fly. Gets up quick and comes down quick a fun bird to fly for sure

I really enjoy your way of showing what has to be done before and after a flight. Also you are a very interesting person to watch as you go though what you do after you get where your going. Different cities and airports along with its people.

This video just popped up when I started KZfaq today. Nicely done flight Steve. I'm retired now but I used to enjoy the short ones, 11 minutes from rotation at Luton to landing at London Heathrow on a 757, fun times. Fly safe and enjoy.

Really enjoyed this short ride-along, Steve. I always look forward to rides in the Clarabell. The right seat perspective was nice because I could watch the backup steam gauges the whole way.

Ahh the memories. Worked on the line at FXE back in 1972-3 when there were only 2 FBO's, Skytel and Bradley. Both long gone I'm sure. Thanks for the ride albeit a short one.

Short flight but very cool. I used to go to the drive in movie theater at the end of the runway, years ago. I didn't know about the new runway. Lived in So Fla from 1968 to 1989. Thanks :)

The airspace where I learned to fly is so sparse that I once departed a class C commercial airport and talked on the ground frequency until I switched to CTAF to land at a grass strip 15 miles away (apparently the same guy was on both ground and tower at the same time). This guy went through clearance, ground, tower, departure, approach, tower, and ground for a flight of about the same distance.

Amen. The Caravan looks like so much fun down low and slow. All you need is to stay just ahead of the prop a mile or two. Never get behind your airplane. How far do you need to stay ahead of the TBM 850? I'm thinking next Thursday.

Just purchased a TBM 850....Ahhh FSX Steam version. Wonderful airplane. It is a pleasure to fly. Landing takes some practice. Very powerful airplane. Race car in the sky.

Course controlled by a good trafic controller. Will never forget Discoverys bolts and nuts of a carrier. Thank you veru much seat tight and somehow avoid the gas pouches by an electronic nose. Have a great flight

Great videos. I tuned in maybe two weeks ago and I think I've seen a few dozen of them now. At one point in my life I considered going into a flying career, but back in the late 1970s when I was a teenager the vision standard was just about 20/20 uncorrected for any hope of getting a commercial job, never mind that I think the FAA allowed corrective lenses to a point. Nowadays I could still easily pass the vision test for a non-commercial certificate and after watching these videos I'm seriously considering it.
