We're getting the 355 in our club 172 in the next few months. Currently have a non WAAS 340. So when installed we'll now have the LPV approaches.

I’ve been thinking about a Garmin 355, AV-30, AV-20 and a AGL Blaze Series (round) EMS. Thanks for the video!

I have the G5's and GNX375 so this was fantastic. Looking forward going through my IFR training with this set up. Thanks again as always Ted.

Another great video! Hoping to get two G5s myself if I could find an avionics shop that isn't backed up till 2021 with ADS-B installs! I have been watching all your videos with great interest as you and I have much in common. I was 52 when I learned to fly and also own a Cardinal. Life is good in a Cardinal!

Thank you for that video. I want to set up our 172N the same as your bird but also with a Aerocruze 100 AP!

Thanks for the video! I’m getting my Cherokee 6 back from the shop tomorrow with G5s and a GNX375. Looking forward to shooting some approaches with it!

Pacific Coast Avionics just installed my new GNC355 and I wish there were a training app specifically for that unit. In the meantime, I’ve learned how to enter and flip-flop frequencies! 😂 I’m going to go out and try this now. You make it look so easy.

I think a 355 will be in my future. I was hoping when it came out that some of the older GPS nav/com units used prices would drop. They do not seem to be dropping as much as I had hoped. I think a new 355 is the better deal.

It is, and I didn't want 20 year old technology in my plane, for safety if anything else- thanks for watching!

I’ll match my Avidyne 540 to your Garnin 355!! Lol ! 😁Plane should come out of shop next week! I’ll then start IFR training. Passed written. If you ever fly to KLNA on a weekend, we can compare 177s and I’ll buy you lunch! N177VC.

I also have a Cardinal 177B FG. I had the dual G’5, GNC 355, GAD 29, (connected to an Stec 50 AP) Garmin audio panel and a JPI 450 fuel flow installed last month. Have you played with the VCALC in Utilities ? It will calculate your decent rate and time. I wish, or maybe it does, beep when you reach a waypoint. I’m hoping to have it fly the approaches on autopilot.

I installed G5's and a GNC 355 in my airplane. I coupled it with an existing STEC 30 with altitude hold and love it. If you don't have the GAD 13, I highly recommend it. Having the wind data is awesome. I am really looking forward to instrument training 2.0 now. I do have a question. I have been flyng with Garmin Pilot and have never used foreflight, but I am curious about it. How do you find using it with Garmin toys? One thing that I like about GP is being able to transfer flight plans via bluetooth on the 355. Thanks for the great video!
@Over50andLearningToFly3 жыл бұрын
I love ForeFlight but it’s the only thing I’ve ever use so I’m really really comfortable with it and it works out well for me. I haven’t used the Bluetooth connection for the 355 yet but I should. Thanks for watching!
