Tahoe used to be a package you could get on an S-10. They later used the name to replace the full sized Blazer name. Up to 1992, the full size was still called a Blazer. In 93, they started calling them a Tahoe.

"Tahoe LT" was the top trim package on the S-10 Blazer, "Tahoe" was not the model. As to the Blazer, yes the "square body" had the removable roof, but Chevy retained the Blazer name from 1992-1994 on the new GMT 400 chassis Blazer, no removable top. It was renamed "Tahoe" in 1995 and after, but was essentially the same truck, adding a 4 door model.

The first thing I tell any of the kids I work with when they talk to me about buying classic cars is "Don't be afraid to get a car your not in love with because it will grow on you" Everyone wants a 69 Mustang/70 Challenger/72 Chevelle but almost noone has 69 Mustang/70 Challenger/72 Chevelle money so don't be afraid to buy a 73 Mustang/76 Duster/74 Chevelle. One of the guys at work "Wanted 68-72 Nova" and we would talk about it and I always told him to "look for a later model, same car basically but a hell of alot cheaper" then one day he told me that he had a "Finally bought a car" and wanted me to come over and look at it, when I got there there sat a 76 Nova and I chuckled and said "Nice car, Glad you listened huh?" and he said "hell yes, I went to look at a 71 Nova that was a roller, the guy wanted 10k for it and then I saw this on the side of the house, I paid him $2500 for it and drove it home, I may be dumb but I'm not stupid.... for 1/4 of the price of the Nova I thought I wanted I got the Nova I needed and although it's not the Nova I wanted I still have $7500 to make it they way I want it."

Those Maseratis with that F1 transmissions or a huge failure for a Maserati, I think they only had that transmission for one or two years before they went to a standard six speed. The problem was is that most people drove that in automatic mode and it wasn’t meant to be driven in automatic mode it was meant to be driven in shift mode and everybody wanted to drive it in automatic mode which then fried the clutch and the clutch replacement is like 10 grand so that’s why they go for dirt cheap money because most of the time the transmissions are slipping or they have problems I had a buddy of mine who bought one and he had nothing but problems with it it would be slipping and acting like it was a neutral all the time and he never shifted it he always put it in auto mode and he had nothing but problems with it because that transmission is junk you canGoogle it and find post after post of people talking about it and it was so bad that Maserati immediately got rid of it and went to a standard six speed. I think this model only had the F one for one or two years if I’m not mistaken.

2004-2006 were the Duoselect transmissions. You’re totally correct on the issues and repair costs. Terrible transmissions that are ungodly expensive to maintain and repair. In 2007 they started using the ZF with the “normal” auto trans shifter. MUCH improved. Some 2007+ had paddle shifters but it was an option not standard equipment so they can be tough to find. I’ve had a couple of Quattroporte amd they are gorgeous cars that sound great. Very pretty interiors (if you have the sticky buttons taken care of) but seriously lacking in tech compared to other cars of the same model year. They also don’t ride well unless you throw them into sport mode - they want to “bounce” on the road. Overall there are much better cars for the same or slightly more money.

There are quite a few mistakes in this video, but one thing I like about this guy is he's not a pompous ass who acts like a know-it-all. He admits there's stuff he doesn't know, like the Tahoe package on the S10 Blazer. For instance, there is a lot of other stuff about other cars in this video I know nothing about. Craig I was watching the review of the Maserati and saying to myself, please please show us that 1970 Chevelle SS396. You did not disappoint. I'm currently restoring mine that is my very first car I bought at 16. I still have it all these years later. I was cracking up when you mentioned the hood pins. From the factory there was still a traditional hood latch. My car had a fiberglass hood and the factory hood latch was removed. I was washing my car one day and my carburetor was acting up. I had to manually open the choke to start it up. So once I was done washing it, I went to drive it around to dry it off. I forgot the hood pins and my hood flew open, pulled the bolts out of the hood and the hood flew up and over the car. Luckily it landed shiny side up. My dad and I fixed the hood and got it back on the car until I could get a new factory style steel hood. FYI, that car did not have factory air, air cars have 2 vents above the heater controls instead of the plate that says Chevrolet.

We removed the 6 pt roll cage, took out the 4.56 gears and swapped in 3.73's and replaced the ladderbar suspension with stock control arms. Question: I have a 1985 Chevy El Camino with 108k original miles. It’s all original and in fantastic condition. Any suggestions on the best way to sell it for a good price? I’ve had mixed results on eBay so just curious.

Donk is short for donkey, because the impala sign looks like donkey. If its not an impala its not a donk.

The Cadillac looked pretty good. It’s a 1955 not a 1956.

I think my uncle had a full-size blazer like that when I was a kid. I I closed the rear hatch with window up n it shattered. My uncle said I was supposed to crank window down when opening n closing tailgate door or the glass brakes. Did he lie to me. I felt so bad n scared of the trouble I'd get in for breaking window. Any one else break rear window on the blazer?
