I owned a Merc 600 Grosser in the 1990's and together with my friend John Spilsbury drove this car in the 1993 TARGA TASMANIA rally (2000km) It was a dream to drive, fast and it handled beautifully. A temporary Ferrari could not catch us. John and l spent a few hours after every days rallying, checking brakes and tightening up suspension and wheels. It was great fun and the public just loved the big beast. We added a customized badge on the bootlid "HUSHPOWER" The grosser won the trophy "Most Spectacular Car On The Queenstown Rollercoaster" On the fourth day we EXPLODED two tyres on the Cethana Rally Stage and the delay lost our chance for a Targa trophy. John and mysel always wanted to meet Jay Leno, but imagined that Jay maybe too busy to see us. I still own a red 1970 Mercedes W111 3.5 Coupe bought in 1990. The Coupe was also in TARGA TASMANIA in 1992 and 2016. In 1992 Sir Stirling Moss and his wife Pat were rallying a Shelby Cobra with car number 329 whilst we had number 327. Number 328 had not turned up, so every morning we shared the Start and Stirling shared some of his experiences with us. We also got to meet Sir Jack Brabham and Danny Hulme Now, in 2022 these three Aces drive Rallies on a higher plane.

I got the honor of touring Jay Lenos garage at the end of October, about 10 days before his accident. Looks like you were there shortly after. He is a super guy and what you see on camera is what you see in person. I am glad that KZfaq has brought you all of this. I enjoy your videos, keep doing them.

WOW, just WOW to associate with two icons in the car industry. I hope you feel humbled and recognize from your beginning from whence you came to where you are now Tyler. Jay is without a doubt an everyday man. Yeah he's got money, but you'd never really know it. Craig is a class act without ego or guile.

Great show Tyler. I got to ride in that wide body Cobra for a check point during a rally back in the eighties. It felt like riding Zeus's thunderbolt. The only ride that scared me more was a cruise in a TVR Griffith from the late 60s. Thanks for bringing us along sometimes. You rock man.

The more I see of Jay, the more I like him. It's great to see him recovering so well from his recent accident. Recovery from something like that is 80% attitude and 20% healing. Also, do my eyes deceive me? Is that the Batmobile that Casey Putsch and the Genius Garage built? Those guns and the strapping inside look almost identical to the one he and his students built.

I've always loved listening to Jay Leno talk about his cars, but I particularly enjoyed the segment with Craig Jackson in his Shelby room.. there's another legendary car guy I could listen to for hours. I hope, given your ties with Barrett-Jackson, that he becomes somewhat of a regular on your channel!

Tyler, your journey seems to be getting better by the minute. Leno is just a well grounded guy who happens to be just another car guy. He is so humble that his persona makes Hollywood look like the phoniness it really is. Love seeing you exceed your dreams Tyler, so proud of you! Keep it up! PS, Craig is also another stand up guy, wish BJ were coming back to the Mohegan Sun in CT

My first experience with Barrett-Jackson auctions was somewhere between 1979-1982 when it was held in Fountain Hills. I remember my dad taking me out and buying a crème colored 1949 Chrysler convertible. I loved that car. Too bad my dad and the car are now gone.
