Yeah, the little 180 motor is pretty decent tbf, my tenth scale rigs get stuck in these muddy sections, so it did well. 👍

Nobody ever seems to show the clean up process after an extreme run. I oiled my portals and had to squeeze out my tires, lubed my drive axels. Anything else I should have done?

If you seal your wheels you shouldn't need to squeeze them out. The water will ruin your foams over time. 👍 It really depends how far you want to go with it. As I mud all my rigs so regularly, I just wash and dry them, then do everything else when it's maintenance time. That normally consists of full strip down, all new bearings and white marine grease on the gears. 👍

No it's stock, the power button wasn't overly happy afterwards! 🤣 Cleaning wise, big puddle, rinse when home and dry off. 👍

Very nice video!!! 👍👍👍 my FCX18 was no waterproof at all, a little fall in the water than died miserly… have you done same to your for seal before make the video like put some wd40 or similar???

No they aren't, but I've found it's the power switch is the issue, delete that and it works fine. 👍😎

@@DoURC Thank’s mate I do now that I have open, another thing : I put metal diff FMS and they don’t work properly even the metal gear, I have to put back the plastic to make go in 1 and second gear, either metal only 2nd gear… you have that problem???

@@DoURC yes, all perfect mount! No way I contact FMS and ask them why, after I tell you. If you have to change don’t buy the metal gears only but all the metal gear assembly they sell online and is 100 time better than change the metal wheel…

No I haven't done anything to waterproof it. They're not technically waterproof but main issue is the power switch, for me everything else has been fine. Cleaning wise, I just rinse it off and dry it avoiding the electrics if you can. 👍

1/10 is more capable, but it's easier to find smaller challenges with mini crawlers. Personally I prefer tenth scale. 👍

Mine arrived, but the car doesn't connect to the control. I connect the battery, then turn on the switch inside the engine, and then turn on the control and it doesn't connect. When I turn on the switch inside the car it even turns on the headlight and taillight but it goes off afterwards, but inside the motorcycle there is a red light flashing but it cannot pair with the control.

Turn in the transmitter first, then turn on the esc in the RC. If that doesn't work, follow the bind procedure in the manual to re-bind it. 👍

No completely stock. I find them fine in water except for the power switch. 👍

@@DoURC That's amazing, I'm on a fence between this model and the FCX18 K10 they both look amazing but I want to be able to run them in the winter so waterproofing is priority, thank you so much for the reply!

@DJ-nz6gn No problem, I've got a comparison of the two on my channel in my Mini Crawlers playlist. 👍 In the wetter months I mud all my rigs. If you delete the power switch it should be fine. 👍

@@DoURC I just finished taking in all of the content you have on the LC80 and the K10 and it really seems like the LC80 can handle a bit more abuse, plus I have a K5 and its a beautiful little chevy, So I think Toyota wins this one, Thank you so much for creating all the content and helping us all make these decisions:)
