Easily the best stock 10mm on the market. Comfortable, accurate. Faultless with all ammo, and easy to mount red dots with included plates. Perfectly co-witness with Trijicon RSR2.

I love my 510. I hated the trigger at first, but after a few practice sessions of dry firing and about 200 rounds of shooting it really smoothed out and is good now. If you could get the XDM elite 10mm with night sights and a threaded barrel it would be perfect. But right now the XDM 10 and FN 510 are the best 10mm's out there. My G20 no longer gets any lovin'.

@HOLY16CITY too bad they're unreliable with heavy ammo. Maybe you got a good one! I pray so. But video after video showing them failing to feed heavy Hardcast and full power loads (including my own video), i could never trust my life to an M&P. I had to send my own 5" m&p9 back to Smith and Wesson to fix.

I have the 510 and find it extremely comfortable when shooting. More comfortable than my X-Ten. It matters you hand shape and grip.

The only 10mm I ever shot was a kimber 1911. I own a 509. I love it. The rear sight does stay on. Sights are suppressor height, and you can "dual optic" with a red dot. Grip - they make a talon grip, but i will say you are spot on with the oversized mag ejection. Way to big.

I wish CZ would make a good 10mm. I know Tanfoglio basically makes 10mm CZ75's, but I think CZ themselves could make great ones.

Pretty cool! Something you might want to try since your into reloading. Get a cheap 10x10 poly tarp and lay it down to catch the brass. Every once in a while you'll lose one. Also got my first deer with the sig 180 hollow points. It did the job but bullet jacket separated from the core on impact. Close 10 yard shot lol.

@@AlaskanBallistics the Caldwell rail mounted brass catch for ARs will work for pistols. It has torxs or Allen head screws that allow you to slide it back and forth to adjust and flip the mount

I have a Springfield 1911 10MM, but am waiting on a FN 510 to arrive. I hope I like this FN as much as I do my 509 !!! I am very interested to see how it runs the Fort Scott Munitions 10MM 125gr TUI ammo!!!!

Yea, I'm not a fan of that style of trigger with the hinge in the middle either. They tend to wear out and then the gun won't fire.

It looks pretty nice. I prefer the Sigg P320 Xten. In my opinion, it’s by far the most handsome striker fired 10 mm on the market.

I love my 510 Tac, it’s just as comfortable as my FNX-45 Tac. No complaints this way.

I’ve put around 2000 rounds through mine. I guess if you have…..’non working’ hands your hands might get bothered bothered I guess. I had no issues with the ambi release nor the slide catch hurting my hand. In fact I like the the slide catch being there giving me a point of reference for the thumb.

Just bought one and I love it. There is nothing I dislike about this gun, mine cost 875.00 and came in black. I wanted the tan color but it still looks great and shoots better. I myself like the grips, and it comes with a few interchangeable grips. I mean 22 round mag? Say less. I bought it for grizzly protection recently went through Wyoming bear country.

My 2 10s are specialist and longslide trp and I’ve got handloads with 135s…180s…and 200s as fast as the brass will handle…200@1300fps from 6” barrel don’t leave much for forensics…

Might have to replace my M&P 10mm with this. The M&P has too many issues with reliability, runs weak stuff fine but chokes on the heavy loads. Hopefully the extra power recoil and mag springs I bought fix the issues.

I watched videos on this. Just change the springs and guide rod to wolf springs and guide rod and will shoot heavy and target loads just fine. A lot videos on here to do that

I can run 40 in Glock and Springfield Xdm elite 10mm’s. Why does it say several places online this 10mm by FN will not.

I don't know. First I've heard of this. You're probably not supposed to because it headspaces on the extractor and .40s&w is known for overpressures. All manufacturers say not to do it

I like mine a lot. No problems. Tried various loads with no issues. The grip is fine. And the trigger is OK as well. Maybe its someones fat fingers.

I like the sig's feel but it was ammo picky with my handloaded bear stuff. Slide release extends out too far for me.

It’s tough to find a gun that is reliable and fits well. That’s the main problem I have with Glock. A Hi-Point feels better in my hand. I agree with you that if you’re paying that kind of money it should be better.

@@BlueDart1971 I went to my local gun store today and held the G20 10mm, and FN 510 side by side. The 510 was thinner, fit my hand better, has a noticeably better trigger, and comes with more out the box. I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger on it, but I actually loved the way it felt in my hand and the trigger pull too. If you bought a G20 for $600 then by the time you put suppressor height night sights, mill the slide for a red dot, and put a threaded barrel on it you'd be at $900 minimum. So is it really that much more expensive than a Glock when you add the accessories to the G20 that the 510 already comes with? 🤷♂️ Not to me it ain't

@@nickadkins7765 nope. You will also hear a lot of people saying stuff like if you change the barrel, trigger and sights or what not glock it a great gun. There’s absolutely nothing special about glock other than reliability. My opinion is any gun that’s reliable and fits you well is the best gun. I carry a Springfield XDM .10mm as my daily carry. Fits well and reliable. I’m thinking about getting the Elite though.

@@BlueDart1971 Absolutely. I will say though; I've been a self-admitted Glock hater all of my life, but last year I bought my first one. It was a G43X. As of now I own 5 in less than a year's time, and looking for the G30S in 45ACP to be my 6th potentially! Idk what it is. They aren't special, you're right, but there is something about them I can't seem to shake now.

Ehh the texturing in the back of the grip is awful and the cutout around the slide release rides into the hand.

Great looking gun, until you see the price tag. At least it runs a whole mag without choking. Unlike the M&P. Love M&PS, but that 10 has been nothing but issues for me. One time I will say, I should've bought a Glock over an MP.

Almost any new gun causes hot spots in people's hands. You just have to shoot often enough to develop calluses and desensitize yourself to each one. Are you just saying you don't want to start that process over with a new gun? Or that this one would require too hot of hot spots and too much callus-building before it ever felt good?

Thank you very much for the review, most people seem to give the gun 10 out 10 but you are the first one who said it what it is. I was going to buy FN510 but then I saw Glock came out with the new Glock 19X MOS, so I bought the Glock instead of the FN 510. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rJ2SkrSix568g4U.html

Yeah that new threaded glock 19x mos is cool. But doesn't do anything for me as of right now. Out of all the 10mm's I've tried, the g40 is still the best. I'd place this one at 3rd or 4th... the 510 just isn't comfortable. They should have made it on the FNX 45 frame double action.

As a lefty the ambi controls are welcome but that trigger looks like an awful gen1 M&P type of setup. Too bad for that kinda money. You'd think with all these newb10mm out there at least one would get it right

Your hands look to be on the smaller side. I believe it’s all subjective user preferences. If your hands are small you’re not going to like this gun. Just my two cents worth one 1️⃣ great coverage.

Lately Ive seen the 510 for around 1000 dollars maybe lower 900 on a good sale…this thing should be like 800 bucks ,, you ask me just save 400 bucks and buy a G20…

I was saying watch the video on the other channel and pull up the company that is mentioned. They have great grips and maybe your fn can be serviced with a better grip just like the man did with his glock 43x in that particular video

I had a kid come in a gas station playing with his glock. He was acting stupid and trying to point it at me. I asked him does he know what beats a 9? When he said ten I pulled out and pointed it at him. I asked him if he had a problem? He said no and walked out the gas station.

I've owned FN's in the past and I they are good, but not remarkable, nor innovative. Are they worth paying over 1K when I can get a new G20 Gen 5 and have $$ left over? I'll take the Glock all day long.

For the price I think all striker fired FN’s are overpriced, that texture on the mag release is trash that pistol is just set up to wear gloves, HK is 200 bucks cheaper and definitely more gun.. I own a fnx45 I’d love to buy a fnx9 but for the price I’d buy a HK

It’s whatever just another striker gun in 10mm big deal. Wake me up when we get a fnx 10mm or sig revamps the p220 to modern standards or hell even a 2011 in 10mm will be great how about HK doing a run of USP 10mms with a optics cut that will get people talking This is one of those guns you get you fondle for a bit and then don’t care for it after wards unless you need it for some reason. Sorry I just am done with striker guns at this point they are soulless and just a bore. Also for that price youd be better off getting a Glock 20 does the same thing has the same striker capabilities and even more reliable I’d say just doesn’t look as pretty but again who cares it’s a striker gun

I have never been a fan of FN's striker fired triggers. Their hammer fired guns are pretty good. But for what they charge for these, those triggers are unacceptable. I would buy a Glock long before the as is FN.

It shouldn’t be this hard to find a decent 10mm pistol. The 10mm 1911 variants run from crappy to nice but $2k. The M&P has lots of unhappy customers with feeding issues. Then there’s this FN that looks like garbage. Of course there’s always Glock. 🤮
