I think FNAF 1 and 4's jumpscares are the best because it really feels like the enemies are THERE. Not just some sprites jolting back and forth at you or still images schmoovin'.

Only ones that ever really gets me are the ones that take time. First game was freddy's when he would sneak into your room and randomly jumpscare you. Its not instant like the other characters, it can happen any time. Also 2 gets me cause of the anticipation of taking off the mask. Sometimes you cant tell if u got it in time. haven't really played 4, same with SL or the newer-ish ones.

I get that with fnaf 1’s for sure, the non-power out version honestly scares me more than the other since like you said, once he’s in your office there’s essentially an indefinite time before he randomly pops up, from the lower right corner of the screen mind you, with the tiny white pupil type eyes (also sorry for being a year late lol)

It makes it more scary, because if you weren't waiting or expecting for that jumpscare, it really scares the shit out of you. Because, boi, just look at Springtrap's jumpscare, he just stands there and that's it; but in the UCN the shaking makes it a bit more scary.

All jumpscares in a nutshell: 1: Suddenly appear and rapidly chomp at the player 2: Jumping or popping up at the player 3: Legit just strolling up and scaring the player/randomly popping up/jumping/leaping from nowhere 4: Lunge at the player biting them a bunch of times SL: Popping up from nowhere, opening their face plates and doing some sort of demonic animatronic screech PS(6): Casually walking up to/popping up in front of them and demonically screeching UCN: **rapidly convulsing every inch of their body, practically having a seizure in front of the player**
