I love that (technically, by the canon of FNF), Boyfriend doesn't deem Dio worth using real words for. (He beep-boops to avoid talking to people, but CAN talk)

@@xeroichi107 I mean compared to BF's time abilities, Dio's momentary freeze almost pales in comparison (because BF is able to basically rewind time to before how own death if he does fail. So even if BF died to Dio's barrage he would just come back again and again until he learned how to best him)

Boyfriend's stand "Girlfriend" is very similar to D'Arby's stand, they both force enemy to play games under some rules, and the loser will die(lost soul/head explodes). It can be a very normal stand in JoJo.

i think that the reason why BF's opponents don't kill him is because of his latent stand, Fresh (Boyfriend Mix), which unconsciously nudges the opponents towards rap battling with him instead of straight up shooting him or something.

Stand Name: Friday Night Funkin’ Stand User: “The Boyfriend” Power: None Speed: None Precision: None Durability: None Range: A Potential: A Friday Night Funkin’ causes any one person that agrees to sing with the user to enter a “minigame” consisting of a pocket dimension that mimics the environment around it. The user or the target then initiates the “game” by “singing”, causing a series of notes to hit arrows overhead. The user or the target will then either have to repeat the pattern, or create a melody to continue the “song”. When either the user or the target misses a certain number of notes, they will immediately die via cranial explosion and testicular destruction. It should be noted that the target’s stand abilities are able to be used during the game, but are altered to relate to the game itself, (a time stopping stand can spam notes in an instant, a stand with tentacles can move notes, etc.). In addition, the skill of the user is unrelated to the stand, though the stand may encourage the user through simply gestures.

Maybe my favourite part here is how Girlfriend *works* like a Stand would. Even if it's BF, she *has* to apply the rules. You can see her deal damage to him after DIO's time stop. "High maintenance" indeed

Unfortunately that also makes sense. In Part 3 where they shrink their stands, it seems like you can get so tired that you can't keep it stable. So yeah, that also somehow makes sense.

Even then if boyfriend dies he would just rewinds to the beginning of the event that led to his end. Its the logic of most games like that, and he could probably use that power to warp right back to before he died and do one thing differently. Basically, he's a god.
