Vs. Sonic.Exe:
Rightburst - Directed the mod, made 'Sonic.exe' sprites, put the team together, modified some backgrounds, made that one creepy sonic face (used as one of the face assets for the jumpscare), made the 'Majin BF face', assets for too-slow ending cutscene, drew assets for end cutscene, and made da logos.
Razencro - Main Programming, animated 'Sonic.exe' sprites, drew/animated 'Sonic.exe' jumpscare in 'too-slow', animated/edited [intro credits video, intro cutscene, 'too-slow' beginning cutscene, 'too-slow' ending cutscene, trailers], drew a small amount of assets in cutscenes, made story mode menu music, put together menu assets, drew/animated 'Majin Sonic' up pose, charted 'endless',
made some sfxs (some menu sfxs, static sfx, static note mechanic sound and game over sounds, some laugh sounds), modified some backgrounds, made story mode/main menu music, drew that simple jumpscare image in 'too-slow', lua modcharted too-slow, animated majin bf boyfriend stuff (also sfxs for dat game over shiz), and video editor.
MarStarBro - Main Composer, Composed 'Too Slow' and 'Endless', Charted 'too-slow', made some sounds effects (jumpscare sound, intro cutscene glitched music/sound, and static note glitched coin sound).
Comgaming_Nz - Did the main stage backgrounds [too-slow, endless], drew assets for trailer n cutscenes [intro cutscene, 'too-slow' beginning and end cutscene], set the style for 'Majin Sonic' sprites (drew idle pose for 'Majin Sonic').
Zekuta - Drew/animated the majority of the 'Majin Sonic' poses and animated the secret song background.
Crybit - Programming, helped finish the Story Mode Menu (fixed difficuly selector thing), programmed Sound Test Menu, polished some main menu stuff (cool moving spikies), figure out how to make notes change mid song (endless), programmed cool starting screens, mid song zoom effects (endless), coded cool majin game over stuff, made sound test unlockable, unlock screen, helped add mp4 support, added cool option to help people with poopy pcs not have crashing games cause jumpscare animation, and made note spin thingy in endless.

not gonna lie, the background instrumentals is basically what solidifies this as a “top tier song”. The heavy, brash pixelated beat accompanied by Sonic’s key changes and vocals, along with the even heavier background at 0:52 are the reasons people love this song so much. Easily one of the best songs to come out of this game.

Trivia: The actual "Infinite Fun" Screen in Sonic CD was created with the Japanese version of Sonic CD's soundtrack in mind, and as such the US version of the screen was much more ominous due to the boss theme. The guy who made the image's nickname as a kid was Majin / Mazin and he made the image as a little easter egg, and he confirmed that it was not meant to be unsettling and that it wasn't an anti piracy screen

I did some research and it turns out this Sonic right here was just a huge misunderstanding you see the Japanese version was originally going to put a boss fight sound inside of it but since people thought that the English one was creepy they made a whole creepy pasta but it turns out it's just the whole misunderstanding and this is not supposed to be creepy at all

This character is actually nothing bad. Majin is the signature of one of the creators of Sonic CD and his intention wasn't it to be scary but just funny. The song wasn't the same like in the US version. It was the song played in boss fights. The IS version made people think that this character who is maybe Sonic with a mask on was a bad guy. He looks kinda goofy.

And the 321Go in the middle, I personally think supports this too. Notice how more-or-less the whole song changes, and the notes change color to look like Majin. It's like Bf chose the song at first, then Majin changed it in the middle. Half and half, right? On top of that, Majin's movements. Left: Looks like an over-the-top gameshow host, as someone else I saw put it. Right: Looks like he's just trying to friendly greet Bf. Down and Up: Just looks like he's just straight up having the time of his life.

The main purpose of this secret from the Sonic CD is to be a form of comedic joke done by the japanese side of Sega, but a whole majority kinda interpret it as something scary when in reality this was just their version of "fun". I love how the developers took that detail and made the song the way it deserves to be made.

To me, it's a signal to how greedy companies are when producing entertainment. "Yeah, we take your money, but in Sega, fun is infinite", said the devil. I feel that Sonic was being used to fight Nintendo's monopoly instead and it was going to be transformed into anything just to be the most popular and richest and this is just an easter egg that delivered that message.

@@computermariobross I'd argue SEGA has personally won my side, especially as they fare with the community far nicely than Nintendo has. Definitely, that alone can be seen as a marketing ploy; which in a way I do see it as, but I also still appreciate the community connection the company itself has. My point is that it is far more reputable in a fandom than Nintendo ever will be. I can believe they value fun over monetary gain.

What probably happened was the localization team found the screen, heard the JP version of the Boss theme, and decided to put in the US version to match the soundtrack. I don't think they realized the difference in tone of the two boss themes, leading to the scary factor.

In all honesty the secret screen from Sonic CD that this references was one of the reasons why Sonic CD was the first Sonic the Hedgehog game that I played and so far the only one that I have 100% completed. It might be one of the more unconventional mainline games in the series, but I personally like it a lot. As for this song and the mod as a whole, I think this is incredible! I appreciate all of the time and effort that went into it.

Really hate how the updated version intentionally added dark shadows and more visible teeth to Majin in some of his poses to intentionally play up the creepiness Majin's better just letting the character design be unsettling because it's so weird instead of deliberately using horror tropes.
