Idk if anybody else has pointed this out, but I finally figured out what was being said in the background at around 1:55 . It’s Spongebob singing “The Best day Ever” from that one episode, which is honestly brutal. Being corrupted and singing a song about it being the best day ever, or possibly even being forced to sing it- Chills.

You know what I just realized? This song follows a very similar pattern to "meant to be yours" from Heathers. They both are mostly aggressive for the duration of the song, and the chorus sounds very happy and light hearted, with ominous undertones, and at the very end of the song, there's a big outburst for an encore, and then it all goes silent, since someone just got killed

I like how BF uses the gun, showing that he’s not afraid to use it, also it kinda sounds like he was struggling to keep up with spongebob which makes since cause he’s usually spontaneous and unpredictable, I can imagine him acting somewhat friendly for a bit and tries to talk them into being corrupted like it’s a fun thing, until the end where he just loses it and gets tired of playing around and just goes apeshit.

Making Spongebob pretty big adds a pretty intimidating and creepy factor that acompanies the entire song's laid back vibe, It's like Spongebob isn't really taking things seriously until he goes into the Jellyfish Rave sections (specially at the end where it sounds like he got tired of playing nice and tried to go for the kill, forcing BF to shoot in self-defense).

Here’s what I imagine for the mod so far: Small cutscene starts where BF and Pibby have just gotten into the house. Lights flicker off as soon as they get in. They see a replica of regular Spongebob shrouded in shadow. After that silence, it falls over and is shown to be a cardboard cutout with corruption spreading across the ground with the new Spongebob emerging from it. During the beat where it sounds like a disco party, darkness shades down everything except Spongebob by a lot. He takes over the screen with his notes disappearing, your side being transparent to make it harder. I’ve noticed all of the corrupted characters so far have this part of the song where they make the game harder for a minute. At the end, the corruption has changed Spongebob himself by a lot, his patience being gone after just a few minutes. He gets mad that BF and Pibby are still there, yells at them, speeds up the song by a lot. A good detail is to have every one of his notes be followed up by two more as close as they can be behind the first. You don’t have to copy that, just what it would normally be like. BF finally uses the gun near the end, the speed-up in music causing the corrupted notes appear in every space possible so he ends it.

Yeah, Stadium Rave here is cool, but I like how at 2:03 Spongebob starts to sing “Honolulu March.” One of the very first songs from season one, and the first backround track of the show to ever play, Playing during the very first few seconds of the first episode, “Help Wanted” I really like that, it gives a nostalgic, but eerie feeling to the song.

The fact that this song focuses on being creepy not in the “eerie” way but in a overly happy and funky way is amazing, kudos to you jake

I love how menacing the beginning part of the song sounds. It sounds very nostalgic and peaceful, but there is a feeling of uncertainty in the song because it doesn't sound quite right, which perfectly encapsulates these iconic cartoon characters getting corrupted perfectly. It's the feeling of hesitancy and fear, because you see something that is very welcoming and comforting that reminds you of childhood, but something about it is not correct. The song is great, really impactful for me because Spongebob was my go-to cartoon during my early childhood, so seeing him corrupted hits the hardest out of most of the other toons.

I feel like the more popular a cartoon is, the stronger they'll be when they're corrupted, and the much MUCH lesser known ones are immune to it, as the corruption sees no use for them, since they don't have as much a placement in many hearts.

Holy shit man, this definitely has the vibes of “I’m trying to resist the glitch with happy memories” where SpongeBob ultimately fails to do so in the end

I love how everyone knows that old cartoons are ten times more powerful due to their art style or cartoon powers that were still available back then. God I hope Bugs Bunny or a Corrupted Animanicas come back. That would be so fire

Guys, don't forget. Spongebob literally can't die. He's invincible except for a few cases, mixed with the corruption the two shots definitely didn't kill him. Just gave them a short amount of time to escape.

What makes this song so creepy from the rest is that unlike the other songs that are very glitchy, this song sounds so happy and enjoyable. It makes you feel like there's nothing wrong until you see the twisted abomination spongebob, it makes you realize that the Glitch/Spongebob is doing this on purpose to lure you in to the Corruption, to become one with it.

this song fills me with such sadness. if I saw him like this in pibby I would cry. edit: even worse is that if you look at SpongeBob's life, he puts up with a lot. he can't drive, and his Neighbour is agitated by him, he works at a low wage job for a greedy boss, and through all the things he goes through, he's still happy. no matter what, he's ready. even for the end.

“Ready or not” title sounds pretty interesting, it seems like before sponge Bob got corrupted, he was playing hide and seek with Patrick, probably..

Things I want to point out: When you think about it, Spongebob might be one of the worst instances of the corruption. He is rather big in this image, meaning the corruption could have forced his body to soak up even more corruption I thought of this because there is corruption dripping from the holes on his body. I have a theory for Spongebob’s outburst near the end of the song. Maybe he was getting mad because BF wasn’t taking this seriously, and just rap battles him, rather than trying to help him. Around 2:52, you can just barely hear a faint voice (similar to Spongebob’s) saying “help me” repeatedly until the first shot hits him.

I personally believe that this song sounds lively and cartoony because the corruption, although Spongebob looks incredibly menacing, is trying to make the situation better and make BF feel safe or "happy". Think about it. It would make sense since the corruption made Spongebob put on a smile, though he is probably in great pain. A theory that I have for the fast-paced parts of this song is Spongebob is making BF feel like he's actually going against an opponent and not a friend. Therefore, if Spongebob can cause BF to take action against him and acknowledge that something bad is going on, the corruption can be defeated.

I love this The peaceful but eerie beginning, the modified jellyfish rave, the glitch sounds, the atmosphere itself. It feels in a way very nostalgic but it's clear something isn't right with your beloved childhood friend.

While everyone is talking about how well done the concept is, can I just say that I can hear the Jellyfish Rave in some parts of the song? It's impressive that a cheerful and exciting song is used in a darker form further adding to the uncanniness of the corrupted Spongebob. Even if it wasn't intentional I still say great for making it such a banger!

I like the glitch isn’t capable of speaking for itself, so it has to say something that the person it’s corrupted has said before in order to show emotion, just like with Steven and Spongebob

If they were to allow a SpongeBob based episode in Pibby, Plankton should be the last one that survives because it could give him major character development and make him realize that his character isn't all about stealing a simple formula for a sandwich. I mean, what's the point of taking over bikini bottom if it's already been taken over by an unknown glitchy evil, and what's the point of stealing the formula if his only rival is not there to take it back. I imagine the episode to go like this: Plankton just stole the formula and is currently running away with it, and SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs are chasing him to the chum bucket. When Plankton finally arrives back to the chum bucket, he calls for Karen to analyze the formula before SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs could stop him. As Karen got closer, Plankton noticed that something seems off with her. But before Plankton could get a closer look, SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs bust through the doors to stop Plankton. As the light shine on Plankton and Karen, Plankton saw his computer wife have some sort of black goo all over her and have a glitchy screen. (since Karen is a computer-based robot, and the unknown evil is a glitch like creature. It would make sense that she was the first one to be corrupted). Plankton thought it was just oil, but Karen suddenly spits out loads of that glitchy goo from her screen. Plankton was able to dodge it, but when the goo hits SpongeBob, he starts to absorb it grow larger, and became corrupted. Plankton and Mr. Krabs manage to escape and hide in the Krusty Krab. They both barricade the doors but it's no use. The corrputed SpongeBob bust through the doors and starts corrupting everyone in the restaurant. Plankton manages to hide in one of floorboard cracks, but he witness true horror as he saw SpongeBob turning everyone into mindless zombies. Including his rival/childhood friend Mr. Krabs. He escaped, but he has to avoid being corrupted himself and maybe find a way to stop it to save everyone. And the only way he could do that, he has to team up with the remaining few survivors from across many lands.

I love the extreme feeling of this song's two feelings FIGHTING for the song. Spongebob is cheery, and it feels like he's fighting to keep positivity in the song, but the music and reality of it keep stealing the tones back. It's SOOO cool.

SpongeBob is probably the most dangerous of the corrupted so far in my opinion. Gathering from various comments from various videos relating to this song, this is what I got: •SpongeBob retains his powers after being corrupted, including shape-shifting, being a literal damage sponge, and being able to absorb things. •SpongeBob could probably have these powers _amplified_ thanks to the corruption. •SpongeBob would probably most likely comeback or be the hardest to kill out of the rest of the corrupted because of his insane powers. He survived multiple instances of being chopped to bits, exploding, being sliced in half, squashed, stretched, turned inside out, etc. Two gunshots aren't going to stop him. He almost canonically died in a few of the episodes of the first season and the first SpongeBob Movie due to being dehydrated (The former being exposed to open air to Sandy's Tree Dome and the actual Bikini Atoll Island and the later due a large heatlamp that would have made him a smelly knick-knack). But highly likely, due to the liquid in his body being replaced by the seemingly never-ending corruption, he isn't going to die of dehydration anytime soon. SpongeBob may single-handedly be on Bun-Bun levels of power when sided with the corruption.

Oh HELL yes. I loved the first concept song I already KNOW this will murder

Jesus, that ended straight up reminded me of that one halloween song "Kiss Me (Kill Me)". Don't know why, but knowing the fact a once jolly and kind creature turning corrupted then shot down sends shivers down my spine. But beside that, the song and design was incredible! Starting off so calming and relaxing, hinting to how there's been music tracks from SpongeBob to have this whole Hawaiian vibe but then changes tempo and beats the moment it was reveal that SpongeBob wasn't so lucky to be able in escaping this glitchy corruption that's affecting the whole channel of Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon. I felt like this has to be the most best music I've ever heard of, coming up second place right behind the new Sonic.EXE mod with "Triple Trouble" being one of them. But your skills at composing this whole song and even creating the art that would show example of this VS Pibby possibility just makes me cheer out of joy, even getting me all excited to see what's the next idea you've gotten planned out for this in the future!

SpongeBob SquarePants (SBSP) is one of the few entities which is from Nickelodeon, being its main mascot. SBSP is a sponge, and hence was able to absorb more corruption, whether in a pitiful attempt to save his town or whether the corruption forced him to. His main method of corruption is to lure his prey in with the sandwiches he used to make called “Krabby Patties,” which are considered a delicacy in his origin world, and then emptying some of the corruption he absorbed onto his prey once close enough, hence corrupting them too, SBSP is a massive threat, even if his traps don’t work he will overpower and outrun anyone and anything which he sees, if spotted run away in the opposite direction as fast as possible and hope you haven’t been spotted. His main weakness is launching an object (a rock, for example,) at him, forcing him to leak some corruption onto nothing making him less of a threat. Log end. Log update: Further tests have proved SBSP has incredible regeneration effects, combat against it is practically useless and will yield no good results unless every atom which makes up SBSP is destroyed. Log end.

Man this is even better than the Steven one. The opening was proggy as hell, gave me some real Genesis vibes. The Spongebob voice being made up of his laughter made so much sense due not only to how iconic it is but also how the corruption has them all with those dead smiles. His color being washed out evoking Suds, only this particular sickness is way worse. The way it referenced how the corruption flows like some living hell-liquid by showing Spongebob to have grown due to soaking it up. The way the song deteriorates at the end where it gets faster and Spongebob actually gets _pissed,_ followed by the sound of BF shooting him. The squawk of anger/pain, followed by one last gunshot? Fucking astounding, excited to see if another Pibby concept from Jake gets better than this.

Like really man, you did an ASTOUNDING job at making Spongebob look like he does in the actual show, and the music really sounds like something Nick would make.

Fun Fact: SpongeBob’s laugh in the beginning is from the episode “Something Smells” where Patrick asks SpongeBob if the reason people are avoiding him is because of his voice. It’s a small detail, but I really like it! You can tell because there’s a small part where Patrick’s voice line is still in there.

Ok theory time. At the end, the part where Spongebob says "LISTEN HERE YOU CRUSTACEOUS CHEAPSKATE, SQUIDWARD HAS BEEN LIVING IN MY HOUSE, DRIVING ME CRAZY! AND YOU'RE NOT GONNA HIRE HIM BACK ALL BECAUSE OF A STUPID DIME?!" is not the glitch talking through him. That actually is Spongebob resisting and sort of ranting about the glitch. Think about it. "Squidward" could mean the glitch. If you think about it, the glitch actually does have a sort of squid-like form. "My house" could mean Spongebob himself. The very thing the glitch has indeed made a home out of. However, the reason he says an old line is becuase he probably does not have enough free will to speak new things on his own. Therefore when he tries to talk about the pain the glitch is causing him ("Driving me crazy") the glitch forces him to say something he has said before. This would just show how brutal being corrupted really is. Ah crape Spunch bop got core upped :(

I've already said this, but the glitch looking like the old nick logo splash is so cool, and the glicth stuff coming out of Spongebob's holes looks sick as well, great job as always Jake!

I thought of a concept with Courage the Cowardly dog, hope this makes sense. So BF and Pibby end up finding the house, which would follow with Courage running out the door in a panic, seemingly trying to escape from something. Once Courage ends up seeing the duo, he'd end up running towards them and try to warn them to NOT go into the house, and to also run. After Courage attempting to get this message across, they'd hear a voice that'd change pitch every couple syllables, echoing from the house. It seems to be making out the words "Courage, where are you off too?". After the three hearing this message, Courage would seem even more scared than before, hiding behind BF, urging him not to investigate. Despite this, BF ends up taking a couple steps closer to the house, only to now see all the glitched furniture, covered in the same black goo from earlier. An elderly woman seems to be slowly coming out of the doorframe, having Courage constantly in eyesight. She is covered with the same effect, with one of her legs being completely covered in it. She says again, "Courage, come on sweetie, it's getting late." BF seems to slowly realize the situation, whilst Courage had switched to hiding behind Pibby. As BF approaches the doorframe the woman seems to be stuck in, he readies himself for another battle. Eustace is in the house as well, glitched, but still watching his show, seemingly trying to ignore the battle.

My favorite part of your songs is that you're really good at making tunes that give off this sad, nostalgic vibe, like the beginning and 1:27 of this song, there was a part in rabbit's luck that gave off this vibe as well and I gotta say I live for it every time

I know a lot more about spongebob than most, (don’t ask why) but i noticed as others said, yes he is a sponge, which is why he is much bigger, he has absorbed the corruption, but one thing people don’t know is that sponges will eventually be squeezed of all contents, so unless this corruption is sticky, not only is spongebob technically invincible, but he definitely can exert this stuff from his body, not only that however, spongebob sometimes knows when things aren’t going well, this is an intuition he has, but he always saw the good in things, same as Steven, who hasn’t been fully corrupted, All of these characters have suffered hardships, but Steven and spongebob has suffered far worse, This explains why only part of their body has been corrupted, and that being said, spongebob canonically can’t be corrupted, he will eventually survive it on his own, but’ll have a chance of heart, because he’s the kind to be conscious while he watches everything happen, same as steven, so they’ll remember this horrid experience, more of a reason to try and break out. This song by the way is a banger. I see the ending in two different ways. I think that spongebob screaming after the first shot is him asking to be finished off, or his last attempt at mutilating boyfriend. I truly detest this version of our bright friend, and the lore to him is simply endless. I’d also like to add, the demeanor of the song and the size of the character just makes everything so depressing, you can just feel the happiness fading away, as the corruption stripped away the brightest thing on the planet, towards the end before the quote, you can just picture yourself staring at this broken down, not himself, kind of sponge, it’s sad, that you could have lost someone so bright.. however i can say one thing. *He was already ready*

All these cartoon characters getting corrupted just makes me wonder how pibby and the others are going to win to be honest. Not only is Ben Tennyson corrupted as seen in the poster for the show,Spongebob also has a pretty good chance of being corrupted. Spongebob can litterally not die unless he is taken out of water. He is a karate master and is pretty much invincible. And i dont even have to talk about Ben. I'd imagine either Patrick, Mr Krabs or Squidward not being corrupted. Patrick having to learn to stop always acting like a mindless young child, Squidward having to be more tolerant of those around him to survive, and Mr Krabs learning that worrying so much about his personal gain and ego can only decrease his chances of surviving

Now here's the question: Did he truly die at end or was he just knocked out? Because we've seen SpongeBob survive things far worse than a gunshot and I have a feeling this corruption strengthen those infected by it. What do you guys think? My headcanon is that he melted into a yellow and glitchy puddle after getting shot twice, but came back a while later. This is because he looks to be stepping out of some sort of glitchy puddle in the video. Imagine someone making a cutscene of him doing just that, it would be so cool and terrifying.

spongebob’s sprite makes him look very intimidating surprisingly, also i can’t tell if he gets pissed or not for some reason because i cant really imagine spongebob being that intimidating but im guessing he actually does around the end (jellyfish jam was very cool to be included as well)

It's hard to believe that the gunshots actually killed SpongeBob, considering he's near invulnerable in most instances, and considering he absorbed that much corruption, I like to think that it's suppressed him

To me it kinda seems like SpongeBob actually enjoys it at the beginning, like he’s okay with the corruption in a way since he gets to sing. But as time goes on, and he starts swelling from his size, he gets more mad, and more upset at the corruption. He starts becoming incredibly distressed, and tries hard to escape, before the corruption completely snaps him into madness.

JESUS Even though this feels way happier which I understand it's still terrifying nevertheless, and I love the inclusion of jellyfish jam. Can't wait for your art to be traced and for it to be turned into 17 different mods by next week

I love how the song sounds more joyful, it really represents spongebob and his personality. I also like how he's big, showing the monster he's become. And jesus christ, that ending with the jellyfish jam song. He had to shoot spongebob twice, because he was still laughing! that was actually so cool. Great work.

Ok, can I just say this is probably my favorite FNF content to ever be made, and literally one of my favorite songs and art pieces ever, I grew up on Spongebob, so there's already nostalgia, his voice is menacing, awesome, and literally is Spongbob's voice, it has a JellyFish Jam reference, is creepy and calming at the same time, has one of my favorite moments from the show where Spongebob gets angry with Mister Krab's, and then he gets FUCKING SHOT AT THE END, a perfect way to end off a perfect song,.

The scariest part about this mod is remembering that Spongebob is near invincible and a gunshot is like a rock to him. So imagine how strong he'd be under the Glitch's control

Jake, You really are making it hard for me to actually comment on these videos lol. Anyways, I absolutely love this song. Mainly due to my history with Spongebob (Still very much sad that spongebob got infected, Don't get me wrong). Anyways the video starts off with a slow and peaceful vibe, kind of ocean-like, until you get the feeling from the song that something is off. Then it shifts to a more dreadful vibe causing you to get a bit of tension and allowing yourself to get mentally prepared. Then, You hear that laugh and you get filled with fear since you know what's gonna happen next. After this, Spongebob begins singing and the song changed to a slow and peaceful vide to more bass and rude feeling. Skipping a bit forward, When you hear the "I'M READY.", You quickly prepare yourself for what's gonna happen AND THE DAMN JELLYFISH SONG MOTIF. Right after BF singing, The violin in the background helps you know that's there's gonna be a change, whether slight or not. And when you here the funny quote at the end, You know for a fact it's gonna bombard you with music and you bet it did. Anyways, There's been a lot of detail shove right into this... 3 minute song (Three minutes? Wow,, that's long for this much detail.) I'm curious if jake will make more song like this, but it's honestly fine if he doesn't. Anyways, See y'all. I'm gonna go to bed.

When heroes fell left and right, there was despair. When an icon, a living legend, like Spongebob fell, all that could of been felt was absolute and retched hopelessness. How can one hope when a symbol of innocence, kindness, friendship, and always smiling in the face of the worse fell to an unstoppable force of nature?

I love the way spongebob rises out of the sillhouette and looks like he's about to start chasing bf, like this could start off a legitemate chase scene where the more you miss the closer old Spongey boi gets to you. It could work like the black sun mechanic does in the .EXE mod, where you can't regain health and instead are very slowly losing it throughout the fight

The name "ready or not" definitely could be referring to the fact that no matter where you are whether you want to or not even if you aren't ready the glitch doesn't take no for an answer

One thing that took me a bit to notice is at 1:40 he screams " Gary " before quickly jumping into the vocals , as if SpongeBob wanted to save Gary from the Corruption consuming him . Even after the first gun shot he words out " Gary " in agony once again , meaning that maybe SpongeBob sacrificed himself for Gary so Gary did not get corrupted and thinks of Boyfriend and Pibby as threats to Gary and SpongeBob since the outburst near the end . There could seriously be some deep shit going on between SpongeBob and Gary from the corruption but so far my only two theories is that either SpongeBob sacrificed himself for Gary and wants to still live to protect Gary from the Corruption , but was shot and killed by Boyfriend ; or SpongeBob gets corrupted and wants to protect Gary from the Corruption but the Corruption slowly consumes his control left and even SpongeBob himself .

Man... just... man... Seeing my boy SpongeBob turned into an empty shell of his former self is terrifying. And compared to the rest of the corrupted victims, he's bloated to bursting with the glitch blob, being bigger than BF and Pibby. Also, the ending is enough to cause shedding of tears, with the cries for help being heard before being shot down. Overall, really awesome song, been playing it on repeat for quite a while. Keep up the awesome work!

The fact that Spongebob looks like he’s hopping out of the corruption like as if it was a pool of water is just perfect.

Something no one noticed: every hole on SpongeBob is covered with glitch, except two holes in the left, so that could mean he still has 0.0000000001% of control and he is trying to get control back, that’s why he speaks almost at the end, he gained control.

i like how even though the song is lively and suprisingly happy sounding in the background theres minor distortion and breaks as if under this funky appearance theres something much more sinister as if you're are in fact facing a real threat and not some goofy foe its nice touch especially for a character like spongebob

This was the one thing that confused me. That scene when pippy was in SpongeBob's bathroom I was like "so is this curruption spreading to other TV channels as well, can this spread to the streaming services as well?"

Despite being something that is purely good in every aspect, the corrupted can claim their soul as their pawn. What the corruption can't fully take away is their inklings of personality, hence SpongeBob here singing in a calm nice tone, until the corruption overpowered that kindness to claim the next victim.

I just came up with a pretty cool idea for a mechanic that could take place during this song: At a few points, such as right after the laugh, Spongebob will wring himself out, spraying corruption at BF. You’d have to press the space bar to avoid the corruption. Sound like a cool mechanic?

I just thought of something So, in the Pibby trailer, we see that the corruption can enlarge infected characters(as shown with Bun-Bun), so just how large is it gonna make spongebob if he gets infected? Since the corruption is a fluid, it can more easily get absorbed into spongebob’s body, this means that spongebob could very well become a massive tank in Pibby

The vocals are just perfect, it sounds just like SpongeBob.

Thinking about how SpongeBob is kind and good, it honestly feels like the corruption is split. Sometimes, it's SpongeBob singing, since some sections are pretty joyful, and sometimes it's the corruption. He's just housing it, like a good host. Like the worms in that one episode. The outburst at 2:38 is SpongeBob fucking snapping at it for trying to kill a person.

I'm fucking obsessed with this, I've been listening to it on repeat the last three days it's so cool! It's the perfect mix of creepy and funky, and don't even get me started on the end and how much dread it brings as the gunshots echo through the silence. I've been messing with the idea to make a fnf mod and this is so inspiring as to what beats and effects go unexpectedly well together. I love how the "generic incoming shark tune" is always playing in the backround, signifying that even though the song sounds happy and upbeat, there IS still a serious danger present .

I would love to see an extension of the song because I feel like it’s a little too short and needs to be more like a boss, or just a whole week! I LOVE IT TOO MUCH
