@@WhyName It would be cool if Terrifying Presence and other skills could work in tandem. You can start combat with Terrifying Presence, you can barter with Barter, you can use your Speech or.... you can (assuming you have a high enough level in each) use a combination of two or more skills for even more unique dialogue options. There would be certain dialogue options that would only be available to people with Terrifying Presence +Speech + Unarmed or Guns, Energy Weapons, Medicine, etc.

@@Techhunter_Talon alternatively you could do what one guy did enter tent with Stealth Boy, place a dozen or so frag mines, place C4 in as many pockets as possible, where not possible just leave them on the floor in front of them, and the last step.. KIRA QUEEN, DAISAN NO BAKUDEN, BITES ZA DUSTO followed by everyone in the tent not under a roof being sent to the stratosphere

I think this is a good line on a lot of different levels 1. It shows to the guards in his tent that the rumors are true, joshua graham, the burned man is still alive, the courier is the proof 2. The burned man sends the courier to kill caesar, whether he dies or not after the encounter, caesar has a new enemy 3. The courier didnt call him caesar He calls him by his human name

Terrifying Presence sucks, it often just starts fight and that's it, but I can do so without this perk. Would be pretty cool if they made it in a way that when you try to terrify Caesar he instead terrifies you in response so this perk actually doesn't work on Caesar but in the end he kinda admits that you have big balls for trying to pull out such a trick so you gain his respect. That would add some depth to his character

It does have some uses. For instance, if you use it on Benny at the Tops, he'll simply cower until you start attacking him. The same goes for his guards if you jump him in the casino floor.

I think a lot of what people hate about terrifying presence is that it usually starts fights rather than just forces people to submit. We tend to look at the world through our lenses in life. But the world of fallout is a very different place with different rules and how people react. Damn near everyone is just surviving and struggling to get by day to day. A lot more killers are out n about and hardened people who will defend their lives violently without a second thought. Sure it’s easy to say if a big strong dude came up to you and threatened you today off the streets you’d probably do what he wants. But if a big dude comes up to you damn near every day and you know you can just blow his head off and go about your day without consequence, you’ll generally be more “Oh fuck off!” About it. And fear is somewhat subjective how people respond. The whole fight or flight thing. Some people turn to stone and freak out when they’re scared, some people get really angry and aggressive when scared, and whatever else in between. Caesar *knows* you’re serious about killing him. He’s well aware that threat is genuine. And while he’s reacting in fear yes cause his life is on the line. He’s well, the leader of the legion and brutality is just their way of life. I dunno. That’s how I view the perk.

I'm not upset that he decides to fight, but he is the ruler of the Legion, I feel like his response should've been a bit more than simply calling the Praetorians to fight you. Something more along the lines of "And now you come to me with threats. For that, I think we'll have you crucified by your own backbones when you fall, and we'll make sure you can't die too soon. Praetorians to me!" Just something that emphasizes the true brutality and aggression that Caesar is reputed to have. To be fair, the game was done in only a year and a half, so I'm not going out of my mind about it.

For most of my courier runs I make the character model slightly shorter than others with a 0.9 value (as 1 is the default). But for my melee-focused, terrifying presence run, I make it 1.2 and thus he towers over people. Sells the image of this hulking freak that gets shot in the head and just gets pissed about it.

@@TheBigman800 no the fun part about that command is its just a direct diagonal drag upward so to speak. Like putting a coke can two inches closer to your face to make it look bigger. The only issue that happens sometimes is with tents. You become too big to comfortably fit the lower ceilings and doors. It doesn't stop you most of the time but it can be a little awkward to see, and sometimes you gotta drop the size down to 1.1 or 1.0 to properly fit. Not often though

I wish Terrifying presence was a perk that was earned through passing speech skill checks and maybe a certain amount of chem abuse. Then when you get the perk the game informs you that "You have a way with words but your drug abuse has aged you rapidly and soured your once pleasant demeanor, you can now use your Terrifying Presence to frighten people in conversation" or something like that.

I like how you can tell someone's allegiance simply by how they pronounce his name. To them, he's either a king or a salad with lashings of vinegar.

I always bring Boone with me and kill Caesar with him for the trust points toward his quest. Only once have I used Terrifying Presence on Caesar. Sometimes I blast him with the holorifle and close in with the Fist of Rawr. Other times, I pop some Turbo/Implant GRX and close in with a melee/unarmed weapon (again, usually FoR). Once, I made some coin shot at a reloading bench and shot Caesar with it before closing in on him. The most I do before that is string Caesar along before bringing Boone to the Fort and going to town on anyone in Legion armor. Even then, I upgrade the Securitron Army and lie to Caesar about destroying it. If I'm going to fight the Legion at Hoover Dam, I want all the firepower I can muster. And that's before I throw the NCR and Mr. House under the bus and install Yes Man.

I like Terrifying Presence, I usually go with 2 perks per level so I pick all these small semi useless utility perks trying to make a fun character game wise and not overpowered. I love when I have all these small choices and gget rewarded with extra dialogues/content and weapons even.

It would be awesome if you could use terrifying presence to recruit legionnaires to secretly turn on Caesar last minute and stab him, like the real Julius Caesar.

Would've been WAY better if you could get Terrifying Presence earlier in the game and it had an effect in combat where there's a 25% to 75% chance that enemies will flee in terror. Kinda like in Assassins Creed where after you've killed so many guards, some of them will flee. And getting Terrifying Presence earlier means you'd be able to roleplay as a scary dude throughout most of the game rather than the game being halfway finished by the time you can get it.

I kinda wish Terrifying Presence would reduce the ranged damage of hostile enemies within a radius, so as to simulate them not shooting as accurately as they would be if they were calmer

As i entered the camp my first playthrough, got asked to hand over the weapons.. very poor choice of words i must say, the whole camp got anihilated without remorse or second thought, didnt even take 10 mins :)

I usually do either that, or yes man. House is an egotistical shell of a man that would leave everyone outside of vegas to rot. And the NCR has such administrative chaos and shortage of manpower that they can't even give water to their farmers or retrieve the corpses of their fallen The legion is bad because of their brutality and slavery, of course, but at least their people have their basic needs covered, which is really important and hard in a post apocalyptic setting.

"Leave Vegas to rot" You don't even know the lore. The only reason Vegas is the shining beacon of the desert is because House subjugate the families and took charge.

I understand that you're going for the "I would rather be dead than a slave", but oh boy did you express it weirdly. In any case, that's where subjectivity comes to play. I would rather survive losing my rights than die free. Others would do the opposite. That's only natural.

I heard that Ca-E-Sar is actually the OG ye olden way of saying it while See-Sir is the way us modern folk pronounce it. Don't know if it's true though but if it is then it makes sense that a pretentious douche like Caesar would really really want people to address him by the fancy original pronunciation. Hence why he and his men say Ca-E-Sar while most other people including the NCR just say See-Sir.

Most people say that terrifying presence just starts fights. While that is mostly true doesn’t it cause some to surrender. I know for a fact it makes grecks cower
