Poor Shadow - he stomped on that stick, he pulled on it, he pushed it, he bit it as hard as he could… but I think STICK wins round One. I have faith in The Stickman though! Shadow will work on it, and eventually make that stick totally submissive. Jackie, loves watching his muscles as Shadow stick-wrangles. That’s why’s she brought it❤️🦅🦅❤️ Oh, and thanks for showing Jackie elongating her neck like that in order to preen - it was soooo interesting to see!!

Whew these are big branches today 🌲 Jackie 💘 and Shadow ❣ are amazingly strong and intelligent to carry and manipulate them. I don't think they've given up on their big nest yet... their new nest continues to need work like any big home project 🤣

It is so cool how they can snap branches in pieces, to make the big ones fit. They don’t stop arranging them til they are finally satisfied with the finished job. It is windy ! I was wondering, do ALL bald eagles lay eggs in the later months & hatch in winter months? Or some in the warmer times of the year? I hope these two have a successful fall/winter of having some babies! I’d love seeing them raise a family! 😁❤

Watching our Eagle Pair these last some weeks(and persistent bringing of sticks to SDS as part of a Rebuild process there) , it just might be that J & S have rolled the time frame forward 3 months or so and are starting to do Fall Nestorations for next yr Nesting Season. It sure doesn't look like they are on their annual summer-early fall Vacation. I for one , am happy they are (Both) are keeping their hand in on whatever Grand Secret they are 'Cooking Up '. To assist J/S with with building their log cabin in the sky, and handle those gigantic branches needed to assemble it, Shadow needs a Tiny Chain Saw, for those awkward, unruly logs. I think that would make this version of “This Old House” easier to manage, lol. 🦅❤️🦅

When they are sitting and resting, which one is the one in the front? I can't tell them apart when they are together or separate; and saying that Jackie is bigger, with a bigger beak, etc. isn't doing it for me. Is it she that's rearranging the sticks?

I tell by beaks. Shadow beak is more orange in color than Jackie's.
