These seem fairly bright, which makes them sound exceptionally clear. They'd probably need a subwoofer to fill in their bass, as they sound a bit anemic compared to other sets.

Hi mate, no, maybe the upper class of focal will be better, these AS series are too bright and lacking bass, the ultra will sound more natural compared to these, thanks for watching

He has these wired to high end equipment i'd imagine. I have a set of infinity 60.7cs components and they sound like my buddies $500 kicker Q series 6.5 components. Infinity can sound amazing hooked up right. These focals do sound nice but these are the chinese model

hi fred. ive been watching alot of your videos in the last 4-5 weeks. you have made a new steg fan. would you recommend these speakers and/or the AS3 3 way system from this range paired with a sub ofc? or are these speakers just a marketing game? i am no crazy volume madman, i like clarity and "pure" sound. i record guitar with high end audi equipement. i can EQ the system quite well...and i will do a FULL sound insulation the correct way, door, floor, trunk, engine..everything exept the front. but the speakers...what speakers for a "midrage audiphile without breaking the bank", i saw a video of you where you absolutely disliked the audison prima 165 speakers. you said there is much better than that for the same price. what if i start on these focals? are they bad? im sorry to have put so many questions in one youtube comment. i hope to get a reply from you. i would also like to donate to you some audio equipement for you to properly review speakers. i can also go steg...i know you would recommend them. but what series without getting too crazy on price? a car can never become a studio...i wish you all the best! :) Car: 7 seater vw touran.

It really depends on the Amp you are planning to use. The Morels have lower Sensitivity and seem to require MORE power, so if you are looking for which speaker would work better with your stock (OEM) Amp set up, the Focals are more efficient and require less power.

Hi mate, both are not warm sets, the thing is, the focal sound ok at low volume, when you raise the volume, it’s starts to be too bright, the JL is more stable, thanks for watching

60W is plenty for these as they have a "6" watt minimum! I'm powering mine from a stock Honda head unit/amp which has somewhere between 35-50wpc and they absolutely CRANK!

That is not performance series, is acces. Performance is a next level. Of course acces sounds very good. Focal entry level sounds very good.

got a set of these and they sound honky, bright and way too vocal for my taste, a dsp helped me smooth out the curve and they sound great now

Everybody was saying the same thing about how high pitched these are. I had the same idea to get a DSP and smooth it out. I could always tune it if I wanted additional high frequency. Great call

wich is better, this or Ground Zero GZTK 165 ? i'm about to buy a new set of front speakers for my car (wich has stock and destroyed once) and i'm bouncing between focal, hertz and ground zero. don't need competition stuff, but i don't want to install 20\30€ kenwood\jbl one and change them next month.

What I have noticed over the years of car audio industry... Focal once built their reputation raised prices up but sound quality (excluding utopia line) ... went down. I agree with Fred Tweeters are very harsh and woofers very decent nothing special. Overall not worth the money. In this way they are counting on stupid people who will buy their speakers no matter what because this is mighty Focal and Company can cut costs of production and save a lot of money for another research. Thats very smart ... Focal but I do not buy that shit thanks

The fact is: ALL things are subject and open to opinions, YOUR opinion seems to be that Focal is too expensive for the prices they charge, which is a completely VALID opinion. There are Toyota drivers that feel the EXACT same way regarding BMW's (or Audi's or Lexus, etc.). But if someone CAN afford them, why not? Is a millionaire (which I am not) supposed to buy a Toyota (or Mazda, or Honda, etc.) simply because of someone's opinion on it being a better VALUE, instead of buying a Beamer? If you can provide empirical data showing a $120 pair of Infinity's or JBL's are better than the $380 Focals, please feel free to present that here. I recently upgraded to two pairs of the 165AS and am quite pleased with them! Cheers!
