That class was a lot more detailed an easier to follow although it took up pretty much most of my day. But now I have a better version of Reaper and a lot more functional. Thank you so much Mike really appreciate all you do.

I worked in TV promotion for around 20 years. Not once did I put punctuation in a script. At first it was because I’m bad at it. I quickly realized it was FAR better to let my VO interpret the script. Often times improving on what I had written.

So good, thank you both. I joined a pay to play a few months ago, three shortlists but no bookings, but I’m confident after watching this that I can get closer. I do two takes where I can and my big mistake so far may be taking the breaths out completely, but thinking of my on screen acting training, new breath means new thought, so it makes sense to leave the breaths and attenuate them. This is awesome, so much learning 😊

Summary. I'm from Argentina so sorry for the grammar mistakes. 1. Don't rush, make it slow. 2. Pauses. Make them. If you didn't make it in the record, make it in the edition. Don't cut breaths, it will sound more rush. 3. Puntuation. Record yourself talking of a topic and then transcript the audio and see where put the puntuation. It will help to be more natural. 4. Make physical activity. Use objects. Talk before reading the script. 5. Get couch. 6. Different your auditions. Make 2/3 takes DIFFERENTS. Faster/slow, smiling/serious. 7. Don't say "take 1", "take 2". Just read the script. 8. Don't worry in making a DEMO. Nail the auditions, find your niche and when you record that auditions that can be your auditions. Tell me if i miss something.

It helps people who aspire to voice over work and do some earning especially in these social media heavy era. I have worked for some of my country's radio and Tv stations as a journalist, producer and director where I find radio and voice over work better for me. I did some commercials on the radio and Tv, they don't know that I work in my home inside a closet and sofa seat that can help me to sound like a real studio. started out recording on Marantz then Taskam now I am using Zoom H4. I'm just writing excitedly to hear some stuff on your channel that I'm concerned about. it's just to say thank you.

Also, I noticed that she uses TWO pop filters (actually 3). The one in front looks like a Stedman and the other looks like a traditional Dual Layer Nylon pop filter. There's a young guy (James Younger), who also does what you do when it comes to Voice work videos. Listening to Mike & Lili is hard pill to swallow.... I hear gold while they speak, then I go speak on the mic and it sounds like I have sandpaper in my throat. Then you realize how HORRIBLE your voice really is. 🤦‍♂😂🤣😆🤬
