This was the year that he did start to sing CCR, l think. Maybe '87. The poor darling - he has been thru the mill - and about to go back again. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Thank God he survived it all - and is still around today, performing like a man half his age.

Poor John. He didn't know at that point, that the biggest wars of his life were yet to be fought... :( Only reading His book made me realize, what a Survivor He is. Many people would have been obliterated by the hell, that he went through after Creedence.

I did want to hear the stories that lead to the very different songs on this album.

Read John's biography. I read it a couple years ago and couldn't put it down. Excellent read for any CCR/John Fogerty fan.

That's the National Pastime's anthem now. I love John's music, but one mill he's lucky he didn't go through was Vietnam. I did in1969, and I think John would agree that 'Nam was a little tougher than what he went through.

John Fogerty served in the U.S. Military and received an honorable discharge after his service was completed. I would say that Vietnam was an incredible ordeal and very hard on all who served, but I would not discount the mental torture of having your life's work and your life's earnings and the very ownership of your life's work stolen from you.

@@kensettle3184 Agreed, but no one was trying to kill him while going through his 'mental torture'. I've been a fan of John and CCR since the late '60s. I've read John's biography and have a signed CD from him, and a nice letter from his wife Julie. I saw John in concert during his "Blue Moon Swamp" tour and he was fantastic!

Horror suena a lata. Saludos

Eye of The Zombie está re fechado en los ochenta, es lo único frustrante porque es un buen álbum. Aunque Soda Pop apesta

Hey everybody! Look..it's Doug and Stu!! They're just upset because they can't have their old job back and they discovered that they can't sing or write songs worth a damn!
