R.I.P. Craig MacGregor who passed away yesterday from a long battle with cancer. Dave passed 18 years ago and Rod about 10 years ago. I knew all these guys personally and I can tell you they were the nicest most professional musicians I have ever met. They should have been as big or bigger than any of the monster bands from the 70's and 80's. These are 4 of the greatest musicians to ever play. See you guys on the other side.

1978, I was 14, enjoying fine herb with a Foghat 8-Track playing this song, in a boat named "Slo-Ride" on Lake Texhoma. We went skiing while the folks went fishing. Then we had a giant fish fry with freshly caught striper and the most wonderful cornmeal batter...a big vat of oil on a tripod in front of the lakehouse with 20+ people as the sun slowly set. I can still feel the sunburn on my skin, sand in my cutoff Levi's and the smell of coconut oil on every beautiful female there. Those hot curls of fresh fish...still the benchmark I judge all fish by even today, some 45 years later. Yeah, I had some great summers growing up.
