3 жыл бұрынOur favorite activity! Queen👑Uniek and Yvonne love doing this. Rein and Jan are helping. And we say hi to Johnny. Every now and then the young horses have to go to the other pasture. Then the grass is gone in one meadow. And the grass has grown in the other meadow.

Uniek is like a mem calling her kids in for the night, and they follow what she says. It's just amazing to watch the herd. Never knowing what you will see or hear from them. I'm hoping that soon our Queen will be able to be in foal once again and that we see what she has, and how fierce of a mem she will be To all I send my love, hugs, and prayers.🍎🍏🥕🌹❤️

"Y'ALL COME ON NOW!" said Queen Uniek. She's such a character. Johnny was all like, 'I'm a Man!" Uniek just ignored him and kept on doing her swishy "whatever " walk. I can't stop marveling at the gentle lowkey way your farm is run. Nobody had to ride out and round up the youngsters, nobody had to drive them into the next field, no lead ropes, no whooping or hollaring, and the babies came right across the field with one call from Uniek because people aren't something to fear or are the source of alarm. Watching this channel has allowed me to contemplate A LOT of what "experts" taught me was traditional good horsekeeping. I am so glad for horses nowadays, alot of ways we've been taught are changing drastically and for the good.

Just great how Uniek calls to the horses to come and also when the car horn blew she did not get startled or scared one bit, so calm and steady. Thanks for the daily upload. I am addicted to this channel.

Love how the younger horses came when she (Uneik) called & then followed her to the next pasture without question. Poor Johnny trying to get Uneik's attention & she just wasn't interested. The rhythmic sound of Uneik's hooves as she walked was so relaxing I found myself swaying in time as if I was riding her.

The fillies recognize Uniek as lead mare and gladly follow her. Nicely done and having the lead mare not be frightened of cars & car horns goes a long, long way to preventing the fear from showing up in the little ones. Loved this.

Vickie Bligh This is one of the things Uniek is known for,she’s a very experienced,calm mare (oldest Friesian in the stable)so not much bothers her at all,she’s a go with the flow kind of horse. It’s also due to her steady yet firm leading skills that Rein will frequently pair one of the younger mares who are just learning to drive the cart with Uniek for the first time in pair,when the fillies get uneasy or concerned about something Uniek will take charge & bring the young one with her. She shows them they have absolutely nothing to fear if they do exactly what she does Her Majesty is a perfect teacher for both the other horses as well as people,Uniek is absolutely one in a million.🐴🥰

thank you yvonne for another beautiful and great video. this video brings back so many memories for me.....because one of my friesians that had an injury when he was 2 years old....I used to just walk next to him the way you were walking next to uniek in this video....we did this for hours on my farm......he loved it....if my cell phone rang he would knock it out of my hand ....he wanted all my attention....he would walk as peacefully as uniek walked in this video....you show how special friesians everyday in your videos. thank you again

I would like to see that, Greg,; my memories of family horses were always joyous. Maybe your 2-year-old found the cell phone scary, as Yvonne often says. The noises cause a startle response.

Yes, there is a lot of pomp and majesty with these mares. They have a commanding presence. Notice that sleek neckline of Queen Uniek today, which would look great with "diamonds are a girl's best friend" slinking down her shoulders and on the cover of Frisian Stables magazine, Mare of the Year Award, .

Mares with a different name were born elsewhere & purchased by Rein later on. Examples: Ritchsje fan Ostemburg Sjirkje fan Reuzepole And Pjirkje fan Legeaan Uniek really is special that’s for sure a Queen in all her 👑Royal Glory,it certainly is fitting then that her name Uniek translates to the English word unique in Dutch and Her Majesty truly is unique in every way,she’s got a place in my heart forever;to meet her,her little one along with the other horses would absolutely be a big dream come true for me.💞💞

I love the way that the young fillies just follow Uniek about 😍😍😍! She's a lovely girl, and a good strong leader 😊😊. She was very calm when that car beeped its horn, think that my horse, Heather would have jumped at that, whereas Uniek just kept on eating the grass. Little Johnny is so funny too - nearly falling into the beck due to paying more attention to the Queen, rather than watching where he was going 😂😂.

It's interesting to see, how strong the 'draw' of an older horse is for the youngsters. They absolutely want to keep going with her, even though, she's only been with them for a minute. And cudos to Uniek for staying so calm, despite the repeated honking. What an inconsiderate person!

Not sure tho, the way he was honking his horn was more to warn the person with the camera not to step forward. Even tho it startled the people a little. Guy with camera was walking on the road .

Uniek is sa cool. Johnny is super oandachtich foar har, mar se sei yn "net hjoed koarte dingen, spielje minne jonge mei de oare dames. Ik ha it drok". Hy hat in moai lyts gebiet om se allegear op te sjen. Betanke foar it jaan fan in better perspektyf fan 'e greiden dy't jo brûke. English: Uniek is so cool. Johnny is being super attentive to her but she sayin “not today short stuff, play bad boy with the other ladies. I’m busy”. He has a nice little area to watch over all of them. I see the same here @ my home when my daughter rides down the road to the trail. No one give respect & the bicycle or runners come right up & can spoil them. Her horse is pretty good thou. He’s 27 ... there’s also laws that protect us ! Just need to be enforced better.

The first video I saw of the Friesian Horses was like this, except you were taking them on a much longer walk -- someone was on a bicycle following them, and I think it was the previous generation of youngsters. It never gets old! Still amazing to see how the herd instinct works and is so strong.

The Queen has the obedience of the youngsters... and the 'attention' of the courtier. :D Johnny just doing his job, though it might get a bit tense if Uniek refused his attentions with more than just cold shoulder.

That motorist is an idiot for beeping their horn, luckily Uniek didn’t pay any attention, she kept her cool. Always love follow the leader videos. ❤️🖤🧡
