If Rebecca meant that song to be about Steven, Greg, and Pearl, while being about Pink Yellow and Blue at the same time, that's almost scary.

I do think that Garnet saw Pink Diamond in the Gemcation flashback. But her stylized retelling of Rose's story is probably the version Rose told her, which does seem off in many places. A fusion doesn't necessarily know everything it's component gems do. Pearl was able to lie to Garnet about Peridot reactivating the comm tower in order to convince her to fuse again to form Sardoynx. But neither Garnet nor Sardoynx realized that Pearl was tricking them, even though Pearl was part of Sardonyx. It could be that gems can withhold information if they want to. Or there might be something lost in translation. I recall Stevonnie being surprised in "Lars of the Stars" when alerted about a battleship approaching, even though Steven and Connie were both clearly aware of the battleship. Anyways, just because Rose and Pink Diamond are inside Steven doesn't mean they have to share information with him. Or even can. I admit I don't know where the mind-swap power fits into the puzzle yet. I'm starting to wonder if Rose Quartz was originally a Holo-Pearl like projection of Pink, a mirror-flipped entity that turned out good and kind because Pink was twisted and tortured. That might literally make Pink Steven's mother. When Steven looks at Pink Diamond's ship he says "... MOM?"

There are a lot of possibilities, certainly. I never thought that Yellow might have come up with the Corruption Song idea, but it makes sense, Yellow had a particular aversion to Pink.

I find it very strange that Off Colors made a point of scanning Lars many, many times. The episode proves that a flesh human body can block gem sensors, because lars shielded the other Off Colors with his body and prevented them from being detected. Remember how Lar's Head has been An Important Thing for a while? And when Lars died, the skull symbol on his shirt was ripped? I think Lars has a bloodstone. He was a human/gem hybrid even before Steven brought him back to life. And his human flesh prevents his own gem from being detected.

I think I know who the Snake People are. MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD! We learn from the conversation between the three diamonds: pink, blue, and yellow, that "Their [earth's] cities were too difficult [for PD] to dismantle" Why were they difficult? The colonization of Earth took place thousands of years ago when Earth's cities were supposedly nothing more than stone and clay structures and the humans had only bronze age technology. Perhaps the Sneeple were the ones that PD conquered first, and their technology was further advanced than that of humans.

Theories are a process of revision. I wasn't truly certain Pink was off-color until Jungle Moon aired, and then it was like a set of dominoes went off.

Yes so you've explained during one of your theoretical shorts on FNAF. Pink Diamond very clearly didn't meet the standards of her sisters and I got that impression as early on as the human pet zoo, very uncharacteristic for the usual diamond status quo of 'screw organic life.'

I never even thought about how supporting organic life like that would put Pink at odds with the other Diamonds. Lots of subtle ways to look at things.

Well, gems certainly had a big impact of human civilization. But Rose seems to find a village with humans in Garnet's flashback. And Greg and the rest of the world knows that the Gems were aliens that invaded Earth, so they must have had some method of keeping records at that time. Humans were here before the gems. I don't think the gems caused human civilization in the first place.

i wouldnt say caused, but maybe they had a part in helping it grow. i dont know how old rose was when she danced with the humans. and about garnet, she said something about her future vision in Pool Hopping

Pearl would know the most of any of Steven's guardians. Amethyst emerged after the war, Garnet formed during it and knows mostly what Rose told her, and Pearl was the first one by Rose's side. Pearl definitely knows something.. although Rose kept secrets even from her. Both Pearl and White Diamond have light powers, and gems on their foreheads, and Pearl seems remarkably smart by pearl standards. I think Pearl was made for White Diamond, and rebelled against her, but is still compelled not to reveal any of White's secrets. We'll have to see what Pearl knows. It's not that Rose was a bad person, Rose is a very, very deceptive person. She might do what she does out of necessity to protect and help rehabilitate Pink. If all of Pink's court knew Rose was in Pink's service, perhaps the elaborate show was designed to protect the gems in Pink's court so they would return to the good graces of The Authority, and White would spare them? There's still a lot we don't know. Healing, reconciliation, and redemption are also themes of the show. Pink had a ton of issues, and probably wasn't a nice person at first. Her adventure with Rose may have turned one of the Diamonds themselves back to the light, and the war was Pink's attempt to get the message across to her other three sisters. As for moving on with loss... dealing with Steven's loss could be one of the most powerful moments in the show. The rest of the gems would have to carry on without him, and The Enemy in Space still needs to be defeated. Thanks for giving me a look :) I'm starting to wonder if Rose might actually be an inverted projection of Pink, turning the usual trope of someone good creating a bad alter ego on its head by having Twisted Pink create someone pure and kind, then realize Rose was onto something. When Steve sees Pink Diamond's ship he says "...MOM?" and behind the One Gem on Pink's fort is a symbol that looks very much like Rose's shield, but inverted, dark pink at the center instead of white. "I Am My Mom" could be a literal statement.. that also applies to Pink Diamond. I'm still working on that theory.

In the episode Gemcation, Pearl was about to reveal a secret to Steven (Most likely about the diamonds and the homeworld's doings) Steven cut her off and saying that Connie hates her.

I have many theories about different stories that I have to do. And I'm still finalizing my theories about Lion, so I'm not quite confident enough yet to say I know the truth. But I'll definitely return to Steven Universe and address Lion again when I can. Oh, I'm very certain that Jasper would punch anyone who called her an Off Color through the wall, which is why nobody does it. And the public perception that Off Colors must be some kind of weak, horrifying mutants would make them overlook Jasper, who seems as perfect as Mary Poppins, if a lot more violent. Jasper is far from a normal gem though. Her extreme strength isn't a paragon of perfection.. it's a paragon of mutation. While all the other Beta Kindergarden gems turned out twisted and warped, Jasper's hole is right in the middle of all of them, and seems so huge and well-formed that it hurts. Jasper won the lottery and developed super powers, while most mutants get negative traits that hurt them in some way. No other Quartz we've seen has a nose gem like Jasper. Skinny in the Zoo was a jasper with a gem that looked like a pearl, and she looked like a pearl, too. We HAVE seen warrior gems with helmets and nose gems before in flashbacks like Lapis's telling of her history. But.. none of them had helmets while like Jasper's battering ram. I believe these gems are actually AGATES, and Jasper's mutated nose gem has actually made her more like an Agate herself in the same way that Skinny looks like a pearl. Skinny seems like a less powerful gem, and Jasper seems like a more powerful one. Jasper's corrupted gem even has a colorful splash pattern on it like a real-life agate. Perhaps an effect of The Corruption Song is to convince gems that they're something they're not? The art books reveal that Jasper is the bully that she is because way deep down, she feels very insecure about something. I think Jasper KNOWS she's an Off Color, and makes a deliberate point of being the Diamond's poster girl about the beauty of perfection to try and hide this about herself.

Perhaps not. But I do think Steven and Neo have a lot in common with someone who's usually said to have the Greatest Story.

I wouldn't even dream of considering the Matrix the greatest story ever told, but I guess it's all a mater of opinion.

I actually think The Matrix deserved much more respect that most people gift it, especially Revolutions. The Architect and The Oracle do strike me as characters similar to White Diamond and Pink Diamond. The Mind and The Heart. Pieces of God that are at odds with each other. I'll have some Matrix theories in the lineup later on, when there isn't quite as much pressure in the lineup.

I'm pretty neutral on the Matrix. I never liked the first movie as much as everyone else and I never hated the other 2 as much as everyone else. I do really like the story of the Matrix, but it's a pretty simple concept and I really don't see how it's as deep as everyone claims. Pretty much every Matrix theory I've read is either flatly wrong (_cough cough_ MatPat _cough cough_) or something I thought was obvious. (Like your Matrix mini-theory in Jeremy's Last Sight.) But having a transparent story isn't bad in any way, I just wouldn't call it the greatest story ever told.

1. We last saw Pearl and Amethyst in The Return as they were charging at an utterly unconcerned Jasper after Jasper had cut Garnet in half. Pearl and Amethyst did NOT win that fight. And Jasper doesn't strike me as the merciful sort that would just give each one a big hug and haul them into a jail cell. Pearl and Amethyst got poofed, just like Ruby and Sapphire did. 2. Sans reveals himself to be highly competent when Papyrus becomes ruler of the Underground, doing all the logists work while Papyrus is.. clueless like usual. Sans took the lead then, even if he let Papyrus (a real monster) keep the crown. 3. Name one instance where we see a quartz gem other than Steven/Stevonnie/Rose use the ability to float, let alone fly. Jasper and Amethyst don't have either of these abilities. 4. I hadn't considered that The One Gem was the Belly Gem on the huge Temple Statue. That does work, though. But it still a sixth gem on the gem door. 5. I fail to see how you can dismiss all the deliberately placed symbolism on the entirely new gem door we find on Pink Diamond's base. You deny that this base contains not just one, but TWO versions of the One Gem, with the one on the inside being a very close match to Rose's Shield? 6. Garnet was right about Steven being a fusion, but she didn't understand why Rose insisted on created Steven, or Steven's intention in flashing his gem. She thought he wanted to unfuse, but he didn't. 7. There you go again, with your famous "no evidence" catchphrase. There's plenty of evidence that Blue Diamond shatters gems. She personally declared Ruby would be broken after Garnet form. Ruby later calls her a routine shatterer. 8. Rewatch The Answer. Are you really claiming you didn't notice Rose slowly floating from the sky as she made her dramatic entrance? No other quartz has that power. Or the power to heal. Rose was flushed pink for a reason, she was infused with Pink Diamond's power. 9. Pardon? 10. Part of the point of the Hand Cluster and other tortured gems was that they had deliberately be put into twisted forms as a punishment. Pink's gem, on the other hand, was fashioned into the shape of a Diamond Titan's gem, and her next form was of a Diamond Titan. 11. Actually.. yes.. Lars IS a human-gem hybrid. His bloodstone was in his head, which is why Lar's Head is a thing, and why his glowing skull shirt was torn after he died. The entire unnaturally long sequences of Lars getting scanned on Homeworld lend power to the idea that Lars DOES have a gem, and his flesh is blocking the gem censors. This is a larger theory of mine that I don't go into during the video though. 12. It's never said in the show itself that only a Diamond can shatter a Diamond, but I keep hearing reports that one of the Crewniverse made this claim during an interview at some point. That's why I called it a "Legend", it could turn out to be a thing, but it's on uncertain ground.

It is so hard to reply to these huge chains that reference other huge chains. Pearl and Amethyst were charging Jasper like berserkers right after Jasper one-shotted Garnet. It's very clear those two meant to fight, not talk. And Jasper was in a fighting mood. I really don't see either side engaging in diplomacy here. Pearl and Amethyst would never get on that ship unless their poofed gems were dragged there. Yes, I do call Lars a human-gem hybrid. That's another major theory though that I didn't have time for in the video. I believe Beach City is FULL of human-gem hybrids, who have those food-like mutations you never seen in places like Empire. Lars already had a bloodstone in his head, formed, as Renaldo described in Rocknaldo, from tiny gem shards in the water congealing it one big gem. That's why Lar's Head is a continuing theme, that's where his gem is. Lars was the first human-gem hybrid other than Steven to realize his true potential. But he won't be the last. I mentioned an army of Nephilim (human/angel hybrids) for a reason.. one is coming.

I'll be making several full episodes about Undertale later on. But don't you think it's curious that Sans, who is so much stronger than Asgore, never becomes the ruler of the underground? Sans isn't just a slacker. He works hard when Papyrus becomes the ruler. San's carefree attitude is an act.

+BlackfootFerret You may have a theory that Sans isn't a monster or that he has a human soul, and that's fine, but talking about it this way not only misinforms people who haven't played the game before, but also makes you sound arrogant since it seems you take your theories as fact. Don't use fan theories, even if they're well-founded, to validate other theories. It makes your logic seem shaky at best, or like you had to make up something in order to prove your point at worst. If you want to make a comparison like you did, make it to a series that actually has those aspects as CANON, not headcanon.

+BlackfootFerret If you're trying to explain a theory, people need to know that it's a theory! Go back and watch through that section again... you never stated you were discussing a theory, and you constantly used definite terms like "Sans isn't a monster," and "Sans also has darkness inside him, which monsters shouldn't be capable of." Not " *I don't think* Sans is a monster," or "Sans *seems* to have darkness inside him." You could have at least started off that section with "According to my theory about Undertale..." This seems like a small change, but believe me when I say it makes a WORLD of difference when it comes to how people view your point and the game you're referencing.

The whole video is a theory video. I didn't want to dwell on the Sans part for long because the video is supposed to be about Steven Universe, so I dropped the Cliff Notes version, and combo-ed it with the pretty definitive detail that only humans can contain darkness, yet Sans has it. I'll flesh it out a lot more in the real Undertale video. But unless someone can explain how Sans is several orders of magnitude stronger than the boss monster who rules the realm, it seems pretty definitive to me.

That I'm not sure of. Some of them probably aren't. The telltale sign is if the character has food-based mutations, and not everyone does. Still, the people I'm sure are hybrids so far are: Lars, Sadie, Renaldo, Onion, Sour Cream, and Connie. Vidalia is actually a gem in hiding. Connie's Mom might also be a gem, or a hybrid herself. Many members of the Fry and Coffee family are probably hybrids as well. Mayor Dewey also claims his ancestor had gem ablities, which might be a tall tale with a hint of truth to it. I'm wondering if the weapons and armor "Of the Fallen" hidden in the Training Base were made for ancient hybrids. Gems and human have been mingling for a very long time. Also, I'm super curious about the mysterious fate of the town next to Beach City, which apparently was recently destroyed in a massive fire. That town might have also contained hybrids... and I think somebody else figured that out. The Snake People?

Well, D&D showed us that "Lawful" and "Good" are not always the same thing. I think the high-level concepts I described here will work out in the long run, although the exact order of plot points could have many different combinations. It looks likes Steven is already befriending the Diamonds. That happened a lot faster than I expected, but if The Enemy in Space is still out there, the Universe is still going to need Pink Diamond back...

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say :) In retrospect what I said sounds a little vague and rude, sorry about that. The Diamonds changing from Lawful Evil, or being shown not to be LE by plot points not yet revealed, does seem like a real possibility after the WD reveal. Especially when you think about who or what made the Diamonds. If the Diamonds are simply following their own pre-determined code like every other gem, any alignment they might be seen as gets muddied. I'm just so excited to see more! If the rest of the season progresses as quickly (in pacing.... in scheduling, well...) I'll be a very happy gem 💎💎

Yellow and Blue acted very different when Steven admitted to shattering Pink though. Blue just narrowed her eyes a little, hearing what she expected to. Yellow.. normally non-pussed, reacted strongly and opened her eyes a lot. Yellow really does seem taken off-guard by Steven's false admission of guilt.

Well, I think all the diamonds do form a one being. Although rather than splitting into neat good and evil versions, I think the show is saying there's good and evil in everyone.

BlackfootFerret my thought was the fact that that episode was Steven telling Garnet a fictional story of what he thought could've happened. In other words, it's not a concept used anywhere except in Steven's imagination. Power level in this world isn't a stable concept because there's a heavy emphasis on how different situations need different abilities and everyone is powerful in their own light.

Sam Gems can vary their appearance temporarily, but they always gravitate back to their default form. Gems hatch fully grown, they don’t grow over time like humans do. Which is why Rose was so fascinated by humans.

Perhaps it is. Pink and Rose had their gems in the same place, so the symbolism still works. As far as the actual door though, Rose's gem is already there at the top of the star.

Well, I also predicted that Yellow Spring Freddy would be an antagonist in FNAF 4 :) And that Jeremy the Bite of '87 victim would be a main character (even though we know his real name is Michael now) Some points of my theory were confirmed, others cast into doubt. I guess you can't win them all. But some things are still up in the air. And considering the original RQAPD is 15 months old, I think I did pretty well ^_^

The Shaun Productions video took a picture from the art book where you can see where the arms were supposed to go on the White Diamond Torso. I think you're right, that probably was her ship.
