Thats my thinking since it's collecting indentium for "unknown" reasons, (i.e it's mentioned that it has excess energy) likely this is focalors's plan to use the indentium power to remove the threat of the prophecy. I also think arlechinno will be instrumental in the "saving" of fontaine and furina may just give her the gnosis as a thank you. Likely because the indentium means furina wont need the gnosis power to rule anymore. Being under a curse to me may mean that the real VOICE of the orotrice is acutally where the real focalors is.The furina we know is just a remnant with most of her power , intelligence and personality actually residing within the orotrice. (which is why the furina we know just seems like an actor playing a part and is easily shaken by real events) SOME entity is within the orotrice and focalors herself is for me the first candidate.

I think that the gnosis is inside the oratrice and that could be the reason why it has consciousness. However I'll no deny that something weird happen with Furina and in the next archon quest we are going to know what is her curse, specially because of her story quest.

not having the gnosis isn't the only thing, furina also hasn't done anything at all so far so it is fair to doubt her by arleccino

@@mickysaif Zhongli didn't do anything to save Liyue, either. I mean, the entire Liyue Archon quest was about he doesn't have to save Liyue because Liyue can save itself. Neither of those things conclusively show Furina is or isn't the Hydro Archon. To be fair to Arlecchino, she doesn't necessarily know these things about Archons. The Harbingers don't seem to share info (and, based on Childe and Wanderer's lines, they also might not trust her). Based on what she knows, it's a reasonable conclusion to come to, but she doesn't know archons as well as the Traveler does. At the end of the day, Arlecchino could end up being right, but based on what *we* know about Archons right now, it's not a given.

@@willowberecki but here's the thing, the normal seawater that's rising has nothing to do with primordial seawater, because if the water level is rising because of primordial seawater, then all water in Fontaine would be deadly to Fontainens, but we don't see that

But keep in mind, we don't know exactly the properties of Primordial water so one can also theorize that Primordial water can act like something akin to the phenomenon of oil not being able to mix with water, but uhhhh... the reverse basically since Primordial water would have to be heavier that sea water (so mercury as one example which... actual kinda fitting since mercury is poisonous to humans). So if this is the case, the rise of the seawater could happen because of Primordial water, but whats actually happening ig is that seawater is "floating" upwards instead of "rising" as Primordial water is moving upwards trying to push into Fontaine. // 4.1 spoilers btw pass this Regardless, we don't exactly know, I don't believe, regarding such circumstances atm so we can say for certain the reason behind the "rise" in water levels. But either way, Primordial water is NOW posing a danger in Fontaine because Primordial water is in Fontaine in some capacity (we literally have multiple examples of this throughout the quests), and we literally have the major scare of Primordial water bursting pass the seal before Neuvillette resealed it himself. @@Elrog3 Yes, because the chess game was revealed during the Lazzo trailer, which was right before Sumeru, and the knight capturing the pawn in game 1 represented either The Traveler or Raiden defeating Signora. It also lines up because there were only six games, so therefore Game 4 would be Natlan, Game 5 would be Snezhnaya, and Game 6 would be Khaenri’ah. Alternatively, you could say that Game 1 is used to represent Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma, which would make sense because The Anemo and Geo Gnoses are on Pierro’s game 1 chess board in the Lazzo trailer.

I mean let's not forget that the gnosis originally belonged to the dragon sovereigns which celestia took and then redistributed. They hold authority of the dragon sovereigns and they were at war with celestia. Tsaritsa could just be gathering up all those authorities to go against celestia because I still think the Fatui are just extremists and not villains. Tsaritsa definitely knows something about celestia and why they could be the big bad as even zhongli decided to give away his gnosis. He knows what tsaritsa is planning to do and is onboard with her. This will also solidify his reason to give up being an archon and live a mortal life. My guess is that the Tsaritsa plan is to combine all the authorities of the dragon sovereigns to free all the archons of their role and obligation to celestia and free the land of teyvat from the controls of celestia entirely as gnosis could be seen as chains which tie the archons where they have to follow what celestia orders. This change is necessary as we saw previously during the cataclysm of kaenriah, Celestia ordered all the archons to go there to fight the abyssal threat. A whole nation was destroyed, people turned into hillichurls, archons died, land of teyvat was corrupted and countless suffered because of a reckless order from celestia. Tsaritsa must have had her qualms but couldn't even get a say in as she was tied down by the gnosis and forced to obey. Anyways this is just my speculation

Could you explain how they've been national security threats to Fontaine? The only things related to Fatui i can think of are Lyney's accusation and all the troops going missing in the Fortress of Meripede, which was just Wriothesley getting them out of harm's way of the priomordial seawater.

Fatui do some minor wicked and bad things but they are not the antagonists. They are definitely good guys on a grand scale.

@@XenoWars sure, you pretty much said the scenarios I was thinking of! Just the presence of fatui in those places makes fontaine more easily compromised. From the perspective of the Fontainan govt the fatui have been spying in very important areas (and that's not even counting ---act 4 story spoiler--- furina's attempted assassination by a harbinger. But I have a feeling arlecchino's going to get more aggressive in patch 4.2 and the fatui usually cause the big boss fight so in that situation would fontaine trust them?)

This is just my theory. What if the goal of the Tsaritsa and the Fatui is to collect the Gnosis and bring it back to the dragon sovereigns to awaken their full dragonhood? Maybe the Tsaritsa found out the history of the Gnosis being the dragon's power that's why her ultimate goal is maybe to use the sovereigns to defy/overthrow Celestia (considering that the sovereigns also have resentment towards celestia). This gives us the reason why the Fatui collects the Gnosis for the Tsaritsa. If Arlecchino found out that Neuvi was a sovereign, she might agree to use the gnosis to stop the prophecy in Fontaine. If SiliconOneFour's theory is correct that Fontaine would probably be the first nation for the Fatui to not get the Gnosis, once they know that the Gnosis would be in the hands of the sovereign dragon, they wouldn't mind not getting it this time since it was their ultimate goal all along. Maybe at the end of 4.2, there will be scenes where Arlecchino negotiates with Neuvillette. Arlecchino would keep the secret of Neuvi being the hydro dragon to prevent Celestia from knowing that a gnosis come in contact with the sovereigns. Or... Neuvi might agree to surrender the Gnosis once the Fatui negotiated that it would be the best course of action as - 1. To possibly not anger Celestia for finding out one gnosis was given back to the sovereign, 2. To carry the plan of giving back the Gnosis to the dragons all at once for their ultimate plan of overthrowing Celestia. 3. To help the dragon sovereigns get their revenge against Celestia. I think these 3 reasons would make Neuvi take the deal of handing out the Gnosis. These are just all my speculations before 4.2 arrives. Take this with a grain of salt ^_^

You're incorrect here, Nahida always had the gnosis, since she was herself use as the core of the akasha system

Rukkhadevata herself told us that after failing to purge the forbidden knowledge from Irminsul using only her powers, she created the Akasha system powered by the Dendro Gnosis to borrow the dreams and wisdom of the people of Sumeru to fight the pollution. The 2nd attempt backed by the Akasha was more successful and most of the pollution was purged. It was after this she realised that she was also polluted because of her connection to the tree so it wouldnt be possible for her to cure Irminsul. It was after this that she created Nahida to erase her. Nahida is the first Akasha terminal because her consciousness is connected to the system without an external device. Rukkhadevata probably did that when she created Nahida. The Gnosis is the core as without it the system cannot function.

That could also align with the theory that Furina can use both Arkhe types. If one triplet uses one type, another uses the other and the third symbolises the anhilation when the two combine

also furina acts like the useless king who had prepared to take the throne and only got the tile through succession not serving the archer war but she was chose by celestial/god given right.we also saw how she coward infront of arlenchino and did not fight.when we go through the archon quest we a pattern on how the archon go against there concepts like how in the trailer the narrator said morax will sign the contract to end all contracts and ei saw that moving on is good instead just staying the same for eternity meaning we see farina be guilty for her actions against the people
