Pat was and original member of the band and left after "The Colour And The Shape", he is also the child of an Native American mother and a German Jewish father. He then rejoined the band for wasting light. I hope this is helpfull.

Nate is really some kids low key cool uncle who plays bass in one of the biggest rock bands ever. Dude just shows up and works and has been since day one. Doesnt stand out or try and get attention.
