As a strict lifelong vegetarian who is very drawn to Islam of late I appreciate this video.

I really appreciate this video. My mother recently told me in a concerned tone as only a mother can do"They're saying, if you don't eat meat or chicken, your skin will change" she meant for the worse off course and "You need to eat meat & chicken to get strength". My reply " who in their right mind is saying this?" and no Mom, we don't need to constantly be consuming meat to get our strength." Last year I didn't consume meat or chicken for about 2 months straight and I gained 3Lbs and felt great. I'm not a big meat eater but most main Lebanese dishes include meat. I made it very clear to everyone in my family that I'm committed to a more vegetarian diet and you should hear some of their comments. Too funny. I think they almost feel sorry for me lol. Being Muslim is more than praying 5X's a day & fasting during the month of Ramadan, it's a conscious lifestyle and I love it. Ramadan Kareem to all.

Jacqueline Chahine every thing eaten in proportion is good for health, Nabi-e-kareem peace be upon him had revealed to hakeem(doctor) that why my people dont get sick beacuse they eat when they are 100 cent hungry and never fill there stomach completely. its an interesting event which happened at his ear. My Prophet my life.

Also, prophet Muhammad did not eat carb every day. Grains are as bad as Meat when consumed in large quantities. People are not suffering from diabetes because of meat but it is so because of high carb diet. When you say people meat is bad, they eliminate meat completely. This is not good for health. I tried doing it for 2 years and suffered from severe depression due to lack vitamin B12. Then I had to take B12 shots for more than 6 months to require. Based on a person's body weight he can eat at least 100 gm meat in a day. I derived this figure from protein recommendations.
@KadirKucuk5 жыл бұрын
Are you even aware of what vitamin B12 is? Have you even researched it? B12 comes from bacteria, not from animals nor plants. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/esl6i9Cb37vQaIE.html here is a doctor explaining the reason why it's not a ''vegan problem''. Also most cattle get B12 supplements and that's how you get B12 from meat. And when it comes to diabetes I suggest you watch what the health.

Well What the Health is severely lacking in the science department, sadly. His intention was right, but it actually hurts the vegetarian movement because of its scientific inaccuracy. Another non-expert tugging on viewers' emotions. Read this: www.vegan.com/posts/vegan-dietitian-review-what-the-health/ - Note: I am an RD and advocate of plant-based diets :) there's a right way and a wrong way to promote them, and that's the wrong way, sadly.

very nice message. Its horrible how we treat animals. If everyone in the world limited animal meats, the farmers would have more time to treat the animals a lot better. now, since there is so much demands, they have no choice but to pump the poor animals with hormones and medicines so they can keep up with the demand.

I want to go Vegan soooo badly (for enviromental, health, and ethical (animal treatment/factory farm conditions) reasons, but my parents wont let me because they think that means I am leaving Islam/committing a huge sin. >:( but it's not! Not in 2016 it isn't (when animal agriculture is destroying tje planet, causing world hunger, and the abuse of animals (watch the documentary cowspiracy for more info)). The only way they would let me go vegan is if they were convinced/if someone convinced them it is halal.
@kawaiicoolpotato20298 жыл бұрын
+Secret Engie veganism has nothing to do with quitting islam , in fact the prophet mohammed was semi vegetarian only eats meat when he is a guest with his companions , most of his daily meals consist of dates which is one of the best food sources in the world and water the two black as he liked to call them , but what is against all that is forcing veganism to other persons and saying what is forbidden and what is not , islam allowed eating only hallal meat , but also not over eating it , so you know what you are allowed and what you are not , meat is over proccessed not like the old days , which is another reason to stay away from it , its a choice of health , choice of life style but should not be forced to other ppl
@secretengie58308 жыл бұрын

ok .... first let me get into one thing.. Why is this person giving lecture ... have that type of beard???????? Why... ???? French cut or what.. can't he totally trim his moustache and start growing his beard.... Ridiculous... I mean when a person is giving so many lectures about islam. then he must definitely have the proper and accurate look of a Muslim and it definitely doesn't include a French cut that this speaker is having.... may ALLAH forgive us and guide us.
@manafkhan62126 жыл бұрын
masterdesigner1 OK... Here's the thing : 1) A Muslim should only Only & only. Follow Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him). And hence a muslim should be least interested to know how any other person does any activity .... No matter how pious that person may be.... Like keeping the beard should be just like how Our last prophet had kept and not how any scholar is keeping... (2) Regarding the length of the beard.... It should be till one fist of our hand..... It hasn't been told that you can keep your beard as long as possible..... In fact it. Can be trimmed whenever it crosses your fist's length to look good..... (3) Regarding those people who can't grow beard because of their natural skin nature. In that case... If a person's beard is not coming out..... Then its absolutely okay and no problem. Because he is not shaving the beard.. (4) Moustache should be trimmed as much as possible to clean shaved.... I don't know who told you all these things. Check out Dr. Zakir Naiks lecture on this.. By searching - Islamic rule on keeping beard by Zakir naik
